"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Title. I'm wondering, am I better off getting an arranged marriage before I age out it? Because if I do, I have countless advantages, but being raised here, its as weird to me as probably to you. But in the American dating game, its like the polar opposite situation, being non-white and 5' 5.

I mean I understand your physical shortcoming can be overcome with "confidence," but I would die early of a heart attack if I got married with a girl who was into me due to nothing but that. If this is how most US marriages happen, I understand why the divorce rate so high. Its much easier to control your looks, body, and financial status than your confidence which comes and goes like the tide.

So it kind of feels like a copout, because game itself taught me so much about myself and life that I would never have learned otherwise, but if in the US, girls fetishize tall white men regardless if they are ugly or fat, I might as well cut my losses and a play a game I have an advantage in? I guess I feel especially bad for short white men, because they have no other options. I guess that might be a different situation because I'm pretty average height for my race, but they would be considered short for theirs.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Nothing says surrender like letting your parents pick you a partner.

PS. Age out of what? You can shoot c*um until your dying day.

I'd say why not? It's not shameful to do so. You're saying money on dating some random sloots who don't like you and saving yourself from tons of rejections.

The older you get, the older your arranged marriage choices get. Its not really like your parents pick, hell there's online "dating apps" where you just communicate with each other and see if your income/family background/whatever matches up. Its more like your families have to be compatible rather than your parents picking, especially for a guy. Indian marriage is more like the merger of 2 companies, hence they are more stable than US marriages which are just 2 people who decide they like each other, basically no different than dating.

But, again, its kind of a copout, but a winning copout.

How about a deranged marriage?

Wait, that is redundant.

It's strange to want to marry before having a girl! It's like looking at it backwards.

Bitter much?

Wait, is OP suggesting tall, white men more likely to be ugly and fat than short, non-white men?

Actually, as would be common sense, tall men are more likely to be slim. Also, since taller is more attractive, tall men are less likely to be ugly. So OP is simply throwing a tantrum here about having to date women who look like his mom.

Winning for whom? Curried kids?

Wait, do you mean horse stable?

If you were in your 40s, I'd be more likely to suggest going for it.

According to your profile, you're only 28. That's too young to get married. Get your life on a good path first.

Ok so in US dating I would be seen as unattractive no matter what I achieve? Sounds like fun.

??Having a stable marriage is winning, beats out losing half your crap in a divorce, but then again, that's what I, and I assume what most men want, a stable marraige. Though I bet there are a few who actually desire the pickup dream of banging 100's of girls or w/e.

I just had to quote that for the belly laugh.

I'm still trying to figure out why the OP needs to decide on marriage before there is even someone to marry. It's like coming up with a solution to a problem that doesn't exist yet. Oh I have a solution, I better find a problem to match it up with.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I assume you're from a culture where arranged marriages occur? Hopefully where you and the woman get a chance to at least meet in person and see if there can even be a connection. If this is something that occurs in your culture and no one is being forced I'd say go for it, if what you want is marrige, just remember though stability is not a guarantee and arranged marriages are no exception. Any stable marriage takes work and compromise from both people.

You need time to screen women you have a ltr with. You need even more time in a ltr to screen for potential marriage candidates. An arranged marriage may seem easier but ultimately you're less likely to be with someone you have a lasting connection with.

Don't go for the arranged marriage. Find women you like and put in the time that will give you a better chance at happiness.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I've always understood the benefits to am arranged marriage. Both people are in the union with a focus on making it a success. This is the goal, and what they strive for. I be think these are more effective of the purpose it's too benefit both extended families as well.

I don't think it is a cop out

He will be like this guy I worked with years ago. He was going back to India for about 5 weeks. He kept saying: "My parents are going to put pressure on me to marry, but I'm ABSOLUTELY NOT going to get married".

Six weeks later, I see him. He immediately puts his head down and says: "I got married...". LMFAO!
