Importance of phoning before asking for a date

Hi all,

I just wanted to ask for a bit of advice, before asking a woman to meet up with you for a drink or a date comma how important is it to speak to her on the phone beforehand.

The reason I ask is because obviously using dating websites, sometimes women that you chat to,have never met you before and may prefer to speak on the phone first.. I don't know how important it is to speak to them over the phone before asking to meet up in public. Most of my dates I haven't spoken to them on the phone and it's been fine, but I was curious about what you guys think is better.

Go for the date immediately online, within the first few messages. Any correspondence outside of that should be exclusively on her to bring up. If she wants to talk a bit on the phone first go along with it until you meet her in person. The point is... meet her in person as soon as possible. Go along with her frame if it gets you the meetup. That first date is where the magic happens.
