First-Degree Burns Game

I have some minor burns on my face and torso from a recent accident involving a thick piece of meat and a pan of hot oil. Your AFC might think his sex-life is (temporarily) over but I think it's a great prop.

First, there's the display of confidence in walking around with facial burns and not being insecure about it. Since burns are obviously not genetic it makes me look tough and like a risk-taker rather than a deformed freak. I'll also get pity points and trigger girls' nurturing instincts - it's vulnerability game you can wear on your face. Finally, it's a talking point I can use to open sets.

I'm going to a party later and I'm gonna game some girls there. I'm feeling optimistic.

I have some ideas for openers but I could use more:

• "Don't look, I'm hideous!"
• "I saw you looking at me from across the room and it made me feel a little insecure" (with cheeky grin)
• "Wow, you're so hot you burned the skin right off my face"

Ideally I want ones that make her ask what happened so I can launch into the story.

That's a very interesting tip... I had never heard of that before. I wonder if we should have a "Life Hacks" subforum...

OP, you shouldn't bring it up. Just act as if everything is normal. After a connection, you could make a brief mention of your accident. If you use it as an opener, it will convey that you're self-conscious about it and that you're trying to deflect feared negative reactions.
