ok this is a copy and paste from a thread i started years ago which is now in the vault so i can not add anything to it so i am remaking it. since losing all that weight i have been steadily building myself up and packing on some solid mass. for all of those who would like to know how i did it, it was through 2 years of constant training (although i broke my arm and was out of action for 3 months) i always carb control (cutoff carbs after midday) and in my opinion the most important and only supplement ive ever taken BCAA's to me they are god and very underestimated.

OLD POST..........................................................

My Journey: lost 33kilos while gaining weights at the gym-pics included

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
well i started late last year when i was 15 almost 16 and weighed about 117kg (no pics of that weight though =S) and now im 16 almost 17 so this transition took pretty much a year but i wasnt until 3 months ago when i had lost enough weight where i could run a decent way without getting tired before the weight really started to shed thus as many of u might know my reccomendations of running

this was taken on the 9th of january 07 (roughly 106kg)

Wow, awesome progress. I remember reading your first post.

I think your chest looks normal in your latest pics, but do you feel hard lumps underneath your nipples? If so, you may have gynecomastia. Unfortunately, they will not go away without surgery no matter how much fat you lose.

I'd say you're around 12% BF. Which is real good. Now time to bulk up the smart way and put on that quality mass =). Oh btw great job...you took control of that **** and let it know your the ****in boss instead of loathing and moping around like most ****s.

also check out this thread to learn about gyno if you think you have it it. Very informative

dj_ben2, I remember your original thread, and let me say. . .this is one of the best transformations I've ever seen in my life. Huge congratulations to you - you had the dedication to do it and you succeeded. A LOT of people would kill for a body like yours. Keep up the good work.

great work man! could you show us what your routine and diet look like?
sure its propably a bit unorthidox but its been working for me
firstly i have a very carb sensitive body so i cutoff cards after around 3pm
i consume about 1.25 to 1.5g of protein per pound of bodyweight a day ( i know its not as high as some recceomend but its been working for me).
i workout from home so i only use dumbbell and barbell excercises. and i also train everyday simply because i have a short attentionspan so i prefer to do 1 short workout everyday
it looks like this

monday: jump squats (lower weight because i have no squat rack, but i jump as high as i can as soon as i reach the ground)>

tuessday: dumbbell bench press flat and incline

wednesday: pullups and chinups

thursday. dips, dumbbell curls, and deadlifts

friday: standing barbell rows

saturday: dumbbell shoulder presses.

now some might say this is overworking my body but i have become accustomed to it and have not been sick in over 4 months. but it may also be because i consume about 30g of bcaas and 20g of glutamine a day

i cant even describe the feeling lol.
it went from covering up, never going to the beach, having horrible self esteem, to walking around confidently with my head held high. my social and sex life have skyrocketed and it makes you feel like a new person

Awesome progress. I'm totally jealous.

Converting to the American system you're 191 lbs. How tall are you? I'm guessing around 6 feet, 182 cm or whatever system you guys use down there.

im 87kg (191 lbs) and 181 cm (just on 6 ft)
what bodyfat % do u guys think im at in my 10th of feb pic. because of the loose skin i have around my midsection im sure my abs should probably look better than they do but i think ill only be able to get rid of that through surgery

wowza! Great progress! Just shows what dedication and hard work can do! If you did that in 2 years imagine what you'll look like in your late 20s!

Keep it up man... This board needs more threads like this.

sry for the double post. diet seems to be my sticking point, what major changes did you make to your diet? over how long a period of time? i.e. made LOTS of changes to what you ate one day, made healthier choices day to day, etc

for me it was alot of trial and error like i started off just reducing calories and going on the treadmill every day. then when i started to see visible results (2 months) my motivation skyrocketed and i started more extreme measures like cutting out sugars and high gi carbs like rice pasta etc. then when i started seeing more results i got more addictes to training and dieting and started doing extreme low carb diets with lots of running and lost a TONNE of weight (the pic where i look really skinny and emaciated) then i woke up to myslef and realized i need to put on some quality weight and not lose anymore so i started eating carbs again (only the good low gi ones though) and have been doing that ever since. i realize it is hard to lose weight and getting your diet right really is a lifestyle change as you cant diet and then go back to your old ways. but trust me once you start to see those visible results which do take a while your motivation skyrockets and you will never want to go back.
