The sun rises and the sun sets.
This is the nature of things.

Time waits for no man. Therefore no man should await time.
Life is the journey, not the destination.

The warrior takes action. The coward awaits destiny.
A warrior takes hold in his life and claims control over his destiny.
A coward's fate is never certain.

A true warrior knows that the direct approach is always the best one;
no one ever cut down a tree by beating around a bush.
Be direct. Meet life head on. Make no excuses.

A warrior loves his way of life and fights fiercely for his cause,
yet he shows no attachment to life and no concern toward death.
His heart is neither soft nor hard. It is absent of form.

To have attachment is to have dependence.
To have need is to be a slave.
True love is freedom; freedom is true love.

A warrior must be empty. His mind must be formless and free.
This is the essence of the void, the origen of the soul.

Formlessness can be neither predicted nor overcome.
It is like water.Form is rigid, water flows.
Form is like a stone. Water wears away the stone over time.

If you put water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle.
If you put water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot.

Water can be still one moment and come crashing down the next.
Surrounding the enemy. Confusing him. Overcomming him.
Be like water. Be formless.

The experienced warrior does not think about a technique on the battlefield.
His body is without form and his mind is without thought.
He lives in the moment and has no concern for whatever end result that might come about by his actions.

Life or death, victory or defeat...
these are the worries of the fallen warriors long since forgoten in the days of old.

This is 'Jeet Kune Do', "way of the intercepting fist".
It applies to life just as it applies to combat.

Warriors die and kingdoms fall.
But the deeds of great men eco an eternity.

The moment is now. YOU are the warrior.
Look within yourself and see that it is so.

The sun has set and may never rise again.
That is the nature of things.

It was my intention to write about the correct mindset.
But if it sounds poetic, all the more cool.

Thanks.

Taken from a Bruce Lee interview. The man was a genius, great outlook on life, and very philosophical. In a way a very complete Don Juan. Much respect Bruce...

OKay in no way is this a tip....

This should be under the Anything Else Section.

What the hell is this?

Look up any book/mag/movie/song that talks about qualities and characteristics of man and post it?

This doesnt help at all. This is nothing more than saying....
Be good, be strong, have no fear.

This crap is useless.

"Post a tip, technique, idea, or article that you've experienced or read about and feel would benefit your fellow Dons in understanding and being more successful with women."

Don't like it?-- Write your own.
It is clear that you did not understand it.
Really, I don't care if you do or not.
But did you even bother to read it?

No, You'd rather someone held your hand and
spelled everthing out for you.
If you don't like it, fine.
But someone did like it.

It is intented to make you think.
To make you use your mind, rather than just
using another tip that wont even work
without the right attitude.
With meditation on the concept,
you learn to free your mind.

I hear people talking everyday about how
there needs to be more information on attitude on this board.
Here is my take on it.

BTW, This was inspiried by Bruce Lee.
I used some of this thoughts, but most of it was my own.
It is my interpretation of Jeet Kune Do.

Anyone age 18 - 35 can join the military if they are in reasonably good shape.
I am a highly trained martial artist and Jeet Kune Do man.
But that is beside the point, because you are taking this far too literally.
When did I say, "grab a gun and run into battle!"?....

You have missed the point, young grasshopper....

To learn more, check out the Tao of Jeet Kune Do by Bruce Lee.

There are quite a few other books, "Bruce Lee's Fighting Method" Vol 1- 4, "Striking Thoughts", ect. Avoid anything that says "Jeet Kune Do" and does not mention Bruce Lee.

Jeet Kune Do changed my life.

Excellent poem man.

I also just happened to be listening to the pirates of the caribbean soundtrack when i read it. It really escalates the poem to a whole new level. :)

Pirates of the Caribbean!

Thats cool. It was a great movie, I don't remember much about the music though. There was this really great rhythmic drumbeat with a kind of *ching* to it, I remember that much.
