Master Don Juan
I'm having a bit of a problem... I'm just starting out university and i'm also just out of an awesome LTR... I ended up meeting this really cool chick through the school's message boards and we met up on monday. Monday she was all flirty at first w/ lots of kino, etc... I asked if I could hang out in her dorm room while she was getting ready for a party later that night and she said sure no prob... an hour later and she had changed completley. I was getting the cold shoulder and asked her what was up, she said she wasn't comfortable w/ me up in her room yet... which is fine, i can deal w/ that.
We were suppose to go out later that night to the party and I called her up and she was really sick (drank lake water during frosh earlier in the day). I was a bit annoyed but, alrighty - i'll deal w/ it. So I went out w/ some other friends.
There were different groups for competitions and we were in the same group (by request) - She decided yesterday that she wanted to go off and spend time with her room mate. I can understand that as well - it was only her 3rd day in Ottawa.
I talked to her last night on msn and she wasn't answering but was "online" so I said "ok, well obviously you're too busy to chat so i'll ttyl". 3 minutes later she said that she had a party in her room and that she was really drunk, etc... she asked how I was doing and what I did (i told her & embilished the fact that I had spent the evening with other girls - good idea/ bad idea?) She told me I was "different and she was pissed at me for assuming things". ... Alright. So I asked her out for lunch today last night and she was ok - i said i'd call in the morning and we'd chat then.
I called this morning and she was still out of it a bit. We chatted & laughed a bit then things got awkward. I asked her if she remembered that I asked her out last night (she was drunk & so was I). She ended up telling me she was pissed because I was expecting too much. She had only been here for 3 days (today is the 4th) and can't spend time w/ everyone. I understand that as well....
Now what I don't understand is how the fvck can I reverse this. When we first got together all she had was positive impressions and feelings about me now there is some negativity mixed in that's messing things up. Before I was only associated w/ good - now theres something else thrown in the mix. So I understand the problem and the psychology behind it - but haven't though of any suggestions of how to fix it. Any advice?
