    Evolutionary Aspect of Weightlifting

Yeah, a lot of it is starting to come together for me. I also came across this while I was searching http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=709484 VERY thought provoking, a must read Now I just need to read all of his stuff and figure out how to apply it to my daily life.

Eat this for awsome workout stamina

You have to understand that any carb eventually breaks down into simple sugars. We're just looking at how quickly this happens, any kind of bread has a high glycemic index. Once again, you're talking about eating plain sugar.

Eat this for awsome workout stamina

h:confused: Eating whole wheat bread is almost exactly the same as eating table sugar. You can achieve the same result by drinking soda right before a workout, doesn't mean it's a good idea.

    Evolutionary Aspect of Weightlifting

Just a random question that's been bothering me for a while. How hunter-gatherers get well muscled physiques? Did they have muscled physiques? I try to evaluate everything against our evolution to see if it's worth doing/eating. I'm active and do sprints/ 1-2 runs because I am positive hunter...

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

It's totally different, we NEVER ate grains period, it's not that like we ate "wild grains" and then started eating domesticated grains. We NEVER ate grains, but we did eat animals.

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

I don't find it too hard to get enough protein since it's like 50% of my diet. I eat eggs/omelet in the morning. During the day I eat a bunch of cooked salmon with veggies. At night I eat either pork or beef again with veggies or some pea soup. I must admit I've never bothered to calculate...

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

Err, well, pasta and bread are both processed so they're out. Eggs are fine, I think men have been eating eggs for quite some time without any problems. Milk has been shown to be bad for you, it's really your decision though (personally I just eat meat for protein and veggies + suppl for...

    General Question about BB

Yeah, bad question I guess. I was more wondering for instance if I was do pushups, say 100 each day. The muscle fibers would adapt at first, then if I don't increase the number or the way I perform them would the exercise become a cardio workout after a certain point? Same thing with say...

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

I was ALWAYS trying to eat healthy my entire life. I don't ever recall eating french fries or drinking soda, not even as a little kid. Nice try though :D

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

A Unit, what I'm advocating is a lifestyle rather than a traditional "fad" "quick fix" diet. I think everyone can recognize that our genetics have NOT evolved in the past 10,000 years. We are practically identical to our hunter-gatherer ancestors in every way. There's evidence to support this...

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

1.)Infant mortality was 20-30%, this is factored into statistics. 2.)Tons of casualties from warefare and hunting, if you got seriously hurt there's no hospital to sew you up. 3.)Early death among women was way higher than men because of the stress of childhood coupled with nomadic...

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

I've actually thought about this before. Your body only knows "sweet= carbs" "meat taste = protein and fat." This is because through hundreds of thousands of years, these were the only available food sources. Your body can't recognize processed foods that came about 200 years-ago, take coca-cola...

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

Huh, you don't need to eat all organic. It's probably best, but that's going to the extremes. Just avoid grains and dairy, eat more meats, veggies and fruits. Personally, I would take being totally healthy and looking great all the time to giving into the American diets. I'm just showing...

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

I understand where you're coming from. It IS impossible to know exactly what ancient people ate. However, this is probably the closest we'll ever come to emulating their eating habits. It is known that their diets consisted largely on animal protein, plants(modern day veggies), roots(tubers...

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

I really hope you actually bother to read those two links. newscientist.com basically plays on the fact that humans probably scavenged on dead animals rather than kill them themselves, this doesn't refute the fact that their diets were mostly meats. Furthermore...

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

WOW  You must be kidding me, cavemen hardly ate any meats..... Please Please find a source for this, your wikipedia supports what Cordain writes. It is well documented and accepted that the MAJORITY of the diet of ancient people consisted of meat and fish. Grains didn't come about...

Paleolithic Lifestyle and Diet = Ideal

I gotta run off to work in 5 minutes so I'll make this quick, get some feedback and then post more research and thoughts on this when I get back. For exactly 3/4 of a year now I've been eating/drinking NOTHING but meats/seafood (mostly fatty), fruits and veggies and nuts. That's it, every...

How Do I get THIS body???

Quick question. I know that super high reps train slow twitch muscles, but what exactly does that mean? Are you adding some mass, or what exactly is happening the muscles you train for endurance? Do they get leaner? Add some mass?
