    Don't alter your diet. Just sweat it out, and remember to replace the fluid after the weigh in. It's a standard operating procedure for fighters. One pound is nothing - I've had fighters needing to drop 6kg in 5 days to make weight.

    Heavy backpack+running

    We used to run for miles with up to 50kg on our backs, plus carrying rifle. It actually developed the strength and size of my upper back and traps noticeably. It is a fantastic means of building endurance and stamina. If your pack fits well I don't believe its that bad on your joints.

    There's no real purpose to decline bench, its the most overrated chest exercise in my opinion. It also places the head below the heart, which is a pretty dangerous situation to be in whilst under exertion.
