I actually did exactly that. I spent way too long treating dating like something I could "fix" with better advice instead of asking why I was so anxious and validation-driven in the first place.

Therapy ended up helping a lot more than any dating content ever did. I found Manhattan Mental Health Counseling, and having a therapist who challenged those patterns instead of just giving surface-level advice completely changed how I approached relationships. It wasn't really about dating in the end, it was about understanding myself.

You run the same scripted lines and treat dating like shopping, ticking boxes instead of making a real connection.

That's what dating is. When you do it enough, you get tired of thinking about where to go for a next date, what funny things you should say to her, how to initiate kino, etc. Everything up until sex is boring and repetitive. I had my own routine that I stuck to because it worked. It was easier to focus on the woman instead of what the fvck I was going to do with her. Here's what I did:
- Coffee date (if I didn't know her very well)
- Mini Golf (all the employees knew I was getting a lot of pvssy)
- Asian food mart browsing for interesting conversation (unless I was dating an Asian)

I did all three of these in the first date as long as I wasn't sick of her by the end of any of these activities. It was a very boring routine, but it was a rock solid routine that was necessary to get all of the unfamiliarity out of the way and the sexual barriers broken down. It was rare to not get the first kiss out of the way after the first date. It was only after I fvcked her that things got more interesting. Then the diversity would become evident and I could enjoy her for what she was (or toss her in the garbage)
