"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

There's a lot of debate on this site about porn and masturbation. I've been trying to cut back on both, but after checking out this site - www.yourbrainonporn.com - I've officially quit porn and signiicantly cut back on masturbation, especially now that I have a fvck buddy.

The site contains scientific and anecdotal evidence about the damage porn does to your brain and the benefits of ridding your life of it and to a lesser extent masturbation. The stories from guys are real inspiring stuff that motivates you to quite. You won't experience results right away since it takes time for your brain to adjust and rewire.

The sites tagline pretty much sums up porn - "Evolution has not prepared your brain for today's internet porn"

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I watched a little of the youtube video. The guy talked about flipping through multiple videos for stimulation, seeing different chics. I usually just watch my fav. porn chic or a few fav. videos, probably around 2-3. Fap like 3x/wk at most. Sometimes I go a month without fapping at all. So how does that apply to me?

I used to open 20 odd tabs at a time. In a way I was a porn connosoir, always looking for the perfect video to merchant bank over.
I stopped looking at it last month and am glad, it was a crutch for me and a giant waste of time.

Pretty much like everything, some people take things to the extreme. Once you're getting regular sex, you will naturally watch less porn. Porn is dangerous though, when you're watching it multiple times a day, day after day, week after week etc...its gonna screw your perception of what real sex is like.

However, I still masturbate regularly simply because I enjoy it and I wouldnt want one girl to be responsible for all my orgasms.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

If you want to rid yourself of porn, then I say go for it. And if you wanted to become a vegetarian, I'd say go for it. Do whatever you think will improve yourself.

But the idea that porn is destroying minds and bodies and sex drives is complete nonsense. Yeah, if you're sitting around wacking off all day, then it's a problem. If you're a normal person with self control and a social life, then it's not a big issue.

If you're telling me that Steve Jobs and Michael Jordan and Ghenghis Khan stopped wacking off and suddenly became brilliant, then I'll listen. If it's just a bunch of boring guys with social/sexual problems, then hey, whatever works for them.

But I bet I know more guys who watch porn, wack off, and still go out living normal lives than guys who quit porn and credit it for everything good that's happening in their lives right now.

There is no doubt that porn, like many other things, can lead to addiction if not used in moderation.

But I think the problem here is that some men (not saying anyone in this thread in particular) come here looking for a magic bullet. Anything that will stick. They see this porn thing and say "ha! that's it! all I have to do is stop watching porn and the poon will come! this is what has been holding me back! my life will change now!"

No. If you're a well adjusted human being, you can separate reality from fantasy, you understand porn is not a realistic portrayal of sex, you're going through a dry spell, you rub one out and continue on with your life.

I feel what everyone is saying about the site being a little over the top, but there seems to be solid evidence that porn can cause some damage sexually. My diick doesn't seem to be what it used to be and im only 23, so I figure its worth a try. As far as masturbation im all for that, because thats what our ancestors did hahaha. However they didn't do so with the ridiculous amount of porn available today.

Porn has become so accepted in our society, which to an extent is good because we're usually so sexually repressed, that we never really stopped and asked what its doing to our brain.

I didn't start this thread for the guys who have normal sex lives and jack-off every now and then. Its for those who aren't like that and are on the fence about masturbation and porn.

Eh, nothing wrong with porn every once in a while.

It's the same as boozing. It's fine to do once in a while, but if you do it every day, you got a problem.
