"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

So 2 months ago this girl breaks up with my roomate, and I got to her know pretty well when we were living together. So she calls me up after they break up and says she hella wants to kick it etc.

So that last 2 months we've pretty much been a couple, doing everything, going to the city, hotel rooms, long talks, crazy sex and all around fun nights at clubs, jazz clubs etc.

Anyway, she just turned 20 yesterday and I left a few gifts in her car for her (some chocolate, a pair of earrings and some flower milk-shake thing). Ever since then, she's been kinda different, think I did too much?

Now she's not calling me back and I'm thinking she's done. I fvcking hope not though because I really care about this girl.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

were the earrings expensive? if so, the gift may have been a little intense for 2 months.

stop calling, act like you could care less even if you really care alot, go out wit ur boys and hit on some other women, it will make you feel better about the situation bc if ur talkin to other women subliminally you start to think less about her and more about yourself.

I agree w/ nsu!! When she backs of, you back of a lot further.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I ain't a rebound, this girl really cares about me. But her life has been fvcked up the last 6 months, she told me she needs to figure her **** out, which she does.

We just spoke on the phone about an hour ago and we agreed that everything's been happening really fast in the last 2 months, and we need to cool out a little bit.

the earrings were 14 bucks.

So i should just wait until she calls? What if it's like a month?

This happened to me once. Everything was going really well - almost too well. Then she changes on me all of a sudden, for no apparent reason. Turns out that she had fallen for me really hard, and this was scaring her, so she backed off. I subsequently dumped her for other reasons, but that was the lesson learned in that relationship.

As was previously said, when she backs off, you back off further. So true.

Like others have said, just back off for a few and see what happens. Most likely she will try to get in contact with you eventually. For some reason girls go on these weird kicks and really get your mind going.

For me, an ideal relationship is one where the girl feels like she can't get enough of the guy. If everything goes really well and moves really fast right away, then it's like you've played your entire hand too quickly. The girl feels like she's gotten everything she can from you, and then loses interest quickly. A good way to prevent this is to make yourself occasionally unavailable, or on dates, end them early so the girl feels like she didn't get everything she wanted out of you.

In my experience, these relationships can be fun, but they burn out in a few months.

Well I closed it off with her tonight, and yes I did agree with her that we moved VERY fast, which we did. I'm not going to call her, i'm going to wait for her to call me. I don't think she can last a week without talking to me :)

I think what happened was that we got overwhelmed by eachother, because we weren't actually "boyfriend-girlfriend" but at the same time, we were. We did exactly what couples do. And she realized that she JUST got out of a relationship and she doesn't want another one. Plus i'd rather wait until I get moved and situated in my new place before I get into a relationship.

Anyway guys, i'm glad I had this closure with her, it made it a lot better. Thanks for the tips. I'll defenitely not be contacting her, and i'm glad her and I left on a good note.

The ****ty thing is, she had plans to move 500 miles away before she got in contact with me, and now that she HAS contacted me, in the last 2 months she changed her mind and wanted to stay up here. But tonight she told me she's probably going to move after all. So that sucks ass if she DOES decide to move.

I'm just hoping she calls soon, I hella miss her already. I just want to get some coffee with her or something.

It's wierd to be completely surrounded by eachother for 2 months...I mean it was EVERY day...then all of a sudden just cut off all contact.
