"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I'm doing something called "counseling" cuz it's free at my university, and it's pretty much like going in therapy, where you talk about your problems and try to become a stronger person.

These are individual sessions, just me and my counselor, and i find her quite attractive. She's young, between 22 and 25 i'd say, and we have a good vibe. Of course, it's her job to give me a good vibe, so i don't have any high expectations, but i was wondering about trying to see if she would be open for a date when we are done with my therapy.

But is this a smart idea? Assume she accepted. Is it smart to date a girl that knows everything about you? All your thoughts and how you usually are around women? I think it goes against the "being mysterious" strategy, but i'd like to hear what you guys think.

Anyone ever dated their therapist? haha.. (Anyone ever been in therapy? )

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Well, in a LTR, the girl would eventually learn about you anyway. With your therapist I suppose the process is already sped up. I don't know what you discussed with her, but who knows, maybe she finds you attractive for it. Regardless, she likely has a policy about dating "clients".

As a side note, I'd hate to date a therapist, as I wouldn't want to be mentally picked apart, disected, examined and tested by her.

All I can say is, if you don't need her for the therapy, it's not like you have anything to lose for trying.
