Would You Call Someone You Have Never Met?

I am good friends with a married couple. A week or so back my buddy tells me his wife has a friend she wants me meet. I figure, based on the type of person his wife is, her friend is probably pretty decent so I tell him okay. Then yesterday he calls me with the girl's number and suggests I ring her up. Supposedly she wants us to chat a few times and then double date with my buddy and his wife to see if we click. All I know about her is her name, that she is 34, divorced with one child, and according to my friend, attractive. Living in a rural area I know a lot of quality women don't get out often because outside of clubs, there isn't much of a social scene and even then, 99% of the clubs cater to the 18-24 crowd. My question is this: What is the best way to initiate conversation with someone who is a complete stranger? Should I just ask basic questions about her lifestyle and interests? I have called scores of women who I have met just long enough to get their number but somehow that seems different. I should mention that I am currently involved with someone so it's not like this is a do or die kind of deal. It's more like I want to keep my options open. I don't recall ever just ringing up someone I was so clueless about. Has anyone ever faced this situation and if so, how did you proceed?

As an aside, friend's wife's friend is rarely attractive, if single. However, friend's sister's friend, or friend's sister's sister-in-law, is another story.

Dude.....just fvcking call her and don't worry about what you say. If she asks about you just tell her you're a no good, rotten liar, cheater, user and bull****ter. When she asks what you do tell her you're a stunt man, bounty hunter, or shyt bro....tell her you work at Mcdonalds for fvcksakes. But keep it going for as long as possible and neva give em' a direct answer. Leave em' wantin' more.

I've used all these, in fact I even tell them I do differn't things on differnt days. This will make her laugh and will also tell you if she has a sense of humor or not. I can guarantee she has neva heard that before. She's probably used to oh........engineer, lawyer, dentist etc, etc, etc.......and where are these afc's now???

Remember to end the convo/encounter first. I was just with this chick tonight and about 12:00 I stood up and said I had to leave. She's like oh, oh, oh 10 more minutes and starts kissing all over me. Needless to say I got my ballz licked, banged her home, and sent her to bed
