One woman I dated had moved here from a big city up north a few years ago. She's now living on a piece of land with her dad. Both live in different houses...Yes...2 houses on 10 acres.

Anyway, when I was getting to know her, we were rather knowledgeable about nutrition and certain foods. She shops at a local organic farm, looks young for her age, even though she's in her 40s

Anyway, I told her about a course I went to on the Liver cleanse...and we know the Doctor that runs it is highly knowledgeable in fitness and nutrition. I showed her a YouTube video of this woman to see if she would be interested in checking out her classes and such.

After the video...she got really silent....and then burst into tears because she had gone to one of those courses and apparently her degree in Naturopathic Sciences didn't cross over into their knowledge-base. That it's illegal to practice it in the new state she moved to outside of just being consultative work.

Apparently, there's a movement against this profession in certain parts of the country and feels that those people don't "get her" even though they think they MIGHT get her. Basically, it seems that her chosen profession is not practical in this area and leaves her without having to utilize her degree towards that and...has been a source of serious frustration for her...and I "triggered" that unknowingly. She said she didn't blame me, because I didn't know...but...she used the term "triggered" with me even as this situation was her's

I recalled a time where I went through some frustrations after graduating college and shared them with her. Made my situation relate-able and it made her feel better, but still...I was wondering if are certain triggers that are kind of red flags?

I'd be more worried if this was a first date and she didn't even bothered to hold herself back.

A sign of emotional instability and reckless dumping. Plus she's 40, probably drama ridden in my opinion. Proceed with caution.

The word "triggered" reminds me of the type of women who invent elaborate mental illness complexes for themselves as a way to garner sympathy from being "persecuted" or as a way to leech benefits from the government and support programs. Maybe it was a legitimate trauma trigger, maybe it is artificial. Hard to tell.

Most girls I know who use the term triggered nowadays aren't high quality.
