About a year ago, I went out with this woman I met online. Was just a single date that went well, when I called her after...she didn't return my calls.

I thought, "Oh well, she isn't interested" and I moved on. A year came and went and when I was at a Meetup event, I bumped into her there. She was like "Hey, long time no see!" We chatted a little, but I went to mingle with the rest of the group.

She gets me alone and apologized for not returning my calls...from a YEAR ago.

Man, she felt guilty about it all this time? I was like "Hey, no problem." I never pursued her even after that.

But did she feel guitly or something or did she figured she'd never see me again in public and freaked out? lol

Although not online dating I have experienced the exact same thing. I think it's maybe a fear of success that holds them back, things went well and they don't know how to proceed. So rather than go into the unknown they just withdraw, but they'll later think about how well it went and regret their withdrawal. By that time they think it's awkward to suddenly get in contact again.

I met a woman who did this, we had a really great night out and I was certain she enjoyed it a lot. When I sent her texts trying to set up a date she said she would like that, but whatever time I suggested didn't fit and she wasn't cooperative finding a day. I quit trying after a couple of attempts and forgot about her. A year later I bump into her when out drinking with some friends, she told me she regretted not going for it. She was having a party at her place a week later and invited me to come, I thought I'd give her one more chance. So I went to her party, had a good time with her again, ended up sleeping at her place, everyone else left and we had sex. She said she had never been that wet while I fvcked her, again she obviously enjoyed it. After leaving the next morning I waited a little and again I tried setting up dates, but again she was difficult. Saying she never met guys alone the first times, which makes no sense since it went fine the last time.

I remember very clearly that last night she mentioned she thought guys were afraid of her, but I think that was a case of mental projection. I really think she was afraid of guys, but gained some extra confidence with alcohol.
