"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Will working out 2 days in a row hurt?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

You should wait a day if possible. If I remember, the recovery process isn't just local (not strictly confined to the damaged muscle). So working out again that soon will probably disrupt the recovery process for the muscles you worked out on day 1. Anyone else?

I would never work legs and back on successive days. Back/biceps and then do chest/triceps (or vice versa) yes, though it wouldn't be optimal .. but never squats one day, deadlifts the next.

If you're pressed for time, re-arrange your workout so that legs and back aren't on consecutive days.

Work back and legs on the same day. Leg workouts work your back too, so doing squats one day, deadlifts the next is not the best idea.

...that said, my guess is that 99% of people here have arms, legs, and hands, and are thusly close enough in composition to warrant sticking to a few basic rules of thumb ;).

From personal experience, as Alex said, I would not work two major groups on consecutuve days... currently I do back then legs, and it aint ideal by any stretch.

But i'm changing the split in a few weeks . Legs and back will both be at opposite ends of the week, with chest/tri in the middle.

I would also not work back and legs on the same day, with squats and deads being the prime exercises, you just can't get the best outta both of them if theyre destroying you on the same day.

Personally I favour chest/tri/shoulder, back/bi, and legs. Or throw shoulders on leg day.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

If you are going to work your two largest muscle groups on the same day, prepare for some heavy DOMS (delayed onset muscular soreness) not to mention the amount of calories this will consume. So make sure you load up an hour or 2 before you hit the gym. Then pile on the protein afterwords.

Depends on how used to the lift you are, although it would do a number on your back. Agreed on the calories. I don't even bother with deadlifts anymore personally. Olympic lifts give a good enough workout to the same muscles, enough that I maxed out at 308 lbs on my first day ever deadlifting.

Unless you're pushing candy-ass weights, I disagree. With heavy poundages your form doing squats AND deadlifts will suffer and increase the likelihood of injury and decrease the efficiency of the workout.

If you can do it then fair play to you. I personablly can't.

i agree w/ that. No way you can do deads and squats the same day heavy.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
