who is a cynic on these forums?

being a cynic isnt all that bad....some of the best writers of all time were cynics.

Im not a full blown cynic, but i consider myself to be to some extent, but i find it fun to talk to other cynics.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I'm very much a cynic. I've also been known to be jaded and bitter as well. :cheer:

My game is way off when I'm feeling cynical. All that negativity is a huge turn off to women. Sad but true.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

You dont necessarly need to be negative....those are pessimists....when youre a cynic youre just stating the reality, thats all

I'm definitely a cynic/realist- I don't lie to myself when things get bad.

But at the same time I'm an optimist- I tend to hope and believe things will work out in the end.

I used to be a pessimist, but it's way more fun to be an optimist. Being a pessimist just rains on your parade all the time, and nobody likes a negative person.

I'm a cynic and all those people that think that i bring them down because I'm negative can all go to hell in a handbasket.

I'm just a recuperating cynic. I had a rough stretch and I like to sit around and think how unfairly I've been treated and how I wish I had spoken up when I was tread upon.

I'm a dishrag....wah :cool::cheer:

Absolutely right. My views vacillate between cynicism and outright pessimistic bitterness. I've been going through an extended phase lately, so sometimes my cynical point of view turns completely negative. I agree, though, that cynics have a much better grip on reality.

To put a (dark) humorous twist to it, consider this:
An optimist sees the glass half full. :)
A pessimist sees the glass half empty. :(
A cynic sees the glass as cracked and leaking.
A surrealist sees a doorknob.
