White socks. tube socks or ankle socks with shorts?

A lot of guys wear the socks that just cover the ankle, but I think those socks look like baby shoes. But white tube socks pulled up high look kind of dumb. What type of sock looks the most stylish with shorts and tennis shoes?

To OP:

With casual shorts, I'd wear white ankle socks.

When I play sports I wear regular nike socks and pull them up.

A tip: Always use socks at their full length, don't be one of those tools that rolls down long socks bunched up around their heels. If you want socks that long, buy a set and make it look sharp.

Quicky kid, this should be in the Anything Else Forum.

The rule is, if you have skinny legs then wear ankle socks --- if you have larger legs than mid-calf socks are OK.

Depends on the kind of shoes/sneakers you're wearing. If you're wearing lows, then deff wear ankle socks, if you're wearing highs or boots, go with the tube, but don't have em go past the sneaker/boots.
