I currently work as an employee, and I have realized that I feel stuck. I am not taking action. The people around me—restaurateurs, shopkeepers, traders, or those who are self-employed, whether they are butchers or surveyors—work for themselves. The watchword is therefore: first of all, act. Action.
I have two "known" paths to consider, at least to try, fail, and see how it goes:
1. Home management entrepreneur: By working six hours a day, I could invoice 100k a year and achieve a net income of 50k annually. If I wanted to, I could even increase my net income to 80k a year by adding more hours and clients, Requirements include being available 24/7.
2. Become a restaurant manager: As the right-hand person to an entrepreneur—essentially their subordinate—I would work six hours a day and earn 30k net a year. With the potential to increase my earnings to 50k net a year by managing two or three restaurants. Requirements include being available 24/7.
3. A choice that I still don't see clearly in front of me.
If you could choose between having a career under the guidance of some entrepreneurs—without real responsibilities but only delegated tasks, so basically working for it's company-or pursuing a career with your own company and becoming renowned in your city, which would you choose?
Because time is time. It passes, and no one can give it back.
In addition to taking action, you must decide whom to serve: yourself or someone else.
ps: these salary refer to italy, which average salary for a office employee is not net 40k as told in google, but something around 20k/year.
