What is the best way to improve my pushup/minute?

I feel extremely weak doing pushups. I can bench press 150(my weight) 5 times, but cant even do more then 20 pushups in 1 minute(1-10 go extremely easy and I lose power around 15 and die at 20) I am looking for the best way regardless of how hard or how much effort I need to put into it.

when i was a teenageer...15, i think, going for my 1st degree, we had to do 100 pushups as part of the test. I got up to 100 by just doing as 100 at a time, ie..do as many as you can, and when u can;t go on, don't drop, stay up, and pump out each one, no matter how slowly or how long it takes until you reach your rep goal. Do this daily, and within 3-4 months, you should be able to do them all with no problems.

No need to bother with bench press if you aren't good with pushups.

I've never had problems with pressups, even before I went to the gym, and I mean never done weights before, I could do like 40 pushups in a minute. I dont know how I could do this though, my form was probably sloppy on them I suspect.

I do DB presses at the gym, but even if I did bench I don't know if I could do 150lbs. I havnt done bench press in about 2 years and I could only manage about 100 then. I use 30kg on db press now though

well i had trouble doing 10 full push-ups. then i started barbell bench presses. going for 3x5, 3x8, 3x12 every monday, tuesday, friday as part of my routine now i can do about 40 pushups in about 1-2minutes. (havent timed myself, just know i can do it) so just keep going at the presses and get your strength up?

Do pushups.
Do clap pushups.
Do diamond pushups (hands together).

Make sure to work out your back... people ALWAYS forget to train their back and just focus on benching.

Reverse flies and lat pulldowns (front and back).

Your pushups should increase overtime no problem.
