Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Most every girl on these sites will say in her profile or in emails if you ask that she's tired of meeting guys at the bar and that's why she's on the site. College aged girls (including masters students) say stuff like they're tired of immature college guys. I get 21-24 year olds messaging me for that reason.

I think it's just way easier for them to filter. They go to a bar or out in general and assume most guys suck. Oh, i have had girls say that they don't like giving their number out at bars or they're just not there to meet guys and want to see their friends.

I send emails to them that are pretty good and I hear "wow that was a good email." And it really wasn't that awesome. It was just better than "whats up. ur cute. read my profile and hit me up."

An email I got last night from a girl I emailed:

"Wow, if nothing else I think you had me with the quote :) Is that your own personal wisdom or someone else's appropriated for the occasion? Regardless, in a world of "how r u"s, your message is a breath of fresh air, and it's nice to meet you too.

Unfortunately, seeing as I have to run out the door and won't be back at the computer until sometime tomorrow night, I don't have time to write a proper message. However, I just wanted to let you know that I am interested, and when I get the time (hopefully tomorrow) I'll write a real "hello" email. Honestly, I think we might have quite a bit in common.

Hope that works for you :)"

They might get a lot of email, but the VAST majority of them are from DOUCHEBAGS, and even if they're not really a douchebag they still suck at emailing with their poor grammar and everything else. I always get complimented on good ice-breaker emails. I'm just happy I payed attention in elementary school.

Haha, I emailed an English teacher/girls bball coach the other day too like the one guy above said. She was impressed that I used a semicolon correctly :)

oh oh.. almost forgot. What you write in the profile is MUCHO important. Most guys try to sell themselves. Most women try to put up demands. I even had a girl note this to me that guys usually try real hard to say what they offer while not demanding anything. What I do is flip it on them and put a few reasonable demands on them... and then in the email ask them what THEY offer while making fun of their demands. And suddenly it's them proving themselves to me that they are good girls.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
