Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I just started college this week and as I've been walking the streets or in buildings, I am recognizing people I've never met before. How is this so? Yep - I remember them as my "friends" from Facebook.

My question is, if you want to talk to one of these people (particularly HB's), do you tell them that you recognize them as a Facebook friend (but say it in a joking tone - not serious) to break the ice or not?

I would at first think the answer would be no, but I tried this last night and oddly...it worked?

I was on an elevator with a HB9 (with two of my friends and two of her friends). I said hey to her, "is your name ________?" (well actually I knew it already, but I had to pretend I wasn't 100% on it) and then after my friend tried to make a wisecrack for remembering her on Facebook, I said I'd see he around. Anyway, I wrote a brief message to her on, well, Facebook using a little C+F, and she insists we hang out. So of course that's good.

How would you guys go about this?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Sure, why not? I like the way you handled yourself. You recognized her from Facebook; you exchanged a few pleasantries, ended the conversation first(VERY important) and were on your way...nice.

What you don't want to do is keep quiet, then send her a message later mentioning that you saw her and coming up with an excuse as to why you didn't say hi.

I like the whole "Is your name ____ ? " approach. It's unassuming and sincere, and once you establish that you recognize her from your facebook friends, you'll have instant rapport.

Just don't linger. A little light C&F convo and then say it was nice meeting her and keep going about your business. In not "hitting" on her, you'll establish a lack of desperation and that you're not psycho. you're guaranteed to run into her again so save the number close for later, if you feel like it.

I appreciate the input.

Today, once again, a Facebook situation came up, but it was a bit different. Me and this HB9 had been talking through Facebook for a little bit, but never met in person. So this morning, I went to get a bagel from the local store on campus (right by my dorm, a bit away from hers) and when I turn to walk to the cashier, I THOUGHT I saw her standing nearby. We locked eyes for a sec, when she saw me, she kinda had that "deer-in-the headlights" look, since she had recognized me. At the time, I didn't act on it because I was still on line AND I wasn't even 100% sure it was her (it was...I brought it up later on when we met in a C+F type way).

Luckily, I saw her this past evening and talked to her a bit (went to a sporting event nearby with a group of 100 people from school), though there was some unplanned disturbances. Some guy who was there apparently "likes" her and had to be with me, HB9 and her friend the whole time. Also, I was two seats away from HB9 (I didn't want to make my gaming obvious and this guy was delaying so he'd sit net to her), so that make it a little tougher too. But I managed to pull a few tricks out of the bag and we ended up talking a bit, which was good. I'll definitely be seeing her around campus again, so I'll try to further things a little from there. Also, the guy seemed like a decent person and he does need my help on something...but he got in TCK's way this time.

My question for this HB9 was something she said when we did officially meet. I happened to be walking towards her, so when I said my little "hey...HB9? Facebook? :D ", she's already into saying "Here he is...I finally meet him." It didn't sound like she was REAL excited, but nothing bad either, so I dunno if that means anything...does it?

I felt the night went alright though, even though I had to kinda c*ckblock this guy, something I'm not used to doing. The HB9 seems cool and hopefully I get to talk/get to know her more soon (I think the part of the school we go to is having a cruise Friday night as well, and we'll both be there).

hmm...anything on my last post here?

Maybe there's something you see here from a 3rd person view that I don't...

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Any advice on the quoted situation above is appreciated...again, just wanna make sure I know what I'm doing here. I feel I'm definitely improving and want to keep it up as I begin college. Also, I bolded one small part, since I really have no idea what it means, if anything.
