First, I think you should try just acting friendly like you’re a cool guy instead of going straight for the lay. I have a higher success rate with women when it looks like I’m not looking to bang them.

Say something that would spark her interest. Ask her if she has plans for the holidays, and what her favorite type of chocolate is.
