This is a VERY simply dressing tecnique that will help you all Look better and feel better, if you dont know this already.

Tecnique X
Alwayz were a Dark top(black Dres shirt) with a light bottom(light jean)

Or Vice versa White shirt with dark jeans.

You may be like we'll duhh!!!

dude that was to break it down for the slower DJ's

alot of guys when they dress say a dark blue shirt, will wear it with dark pant.

Remember even though the top is lighter in colour then the dark pants. its not following tecnique X

You can wear this outfit , it possibly may look good,

but it would look alot better with a lighter top!

GO AHEAD TRY IT NOW!!! GRAB A MIRROR MAKE YOU OUTFITS

By Knowing this Skill you will Always know your DRESSED well.

1 less thing to worry about , 1 more thing to be confident about

Wait I'm really confused... did this guy really just say either wear

Dark on Top, Light on Bottom /or
Light on Bottom, Dark on Top...

really, what has this come too?

:(

---EDIT---

You realize that it's very rare for people to dress outside of those option.

Plus sometimes you can break the rules, for example, I forget the proper name but...

Black suit, top and bottom, and black dress shirt with a tie....

Though technically the only way you could really break the rule you just gave would be to match the top and bottom....

this wasn't a tip unless...

"When you dress wear shoes on your feet"

is a tip....

Where can I find other style tips like this? Like what colors go with what and so on. I bought a book "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" but that didn't tell jack.

go find a color wheel...

.....P.....
..r......b..
..o.....g..
......Y....

then matching colors is all up to you..

you can do it by the way they are allignend{Complementary} Or you can follow the theme of a piece of artwork or nature... endless....

if you really want to know things like colour... don't look in fashion books, rather look into the lost art of colour theory....

Have a Nice Day...

This tip wasn't that good... Infact rather bad... IMO

Look at mags, people you see in everyday life that look pretty cool, and just get your own 'style'. The more you worry about fitting in with colours, the more you look like everyone else.

Interesting point though, is it me or are pink shirts now really cool? And mullets are set to make a come-back? Maybe it's me, but I'm seeing a lot of people with mullets and pink shirts these days

I disagree with this tip, partly.. A big contrast between top and bottom (say, black and white) centers the eye on the width of the person, and depending on your body type, it could be bad. Say, if you're underweight, it's good, but if you're normal or overweight (or just really well-built, like me) it makes you look too big.

I do agree most people here (and in general) don't know how to dress.

Btw, if you're overweight/wide, try to not have much of a contrast between your tops and pants, and don't wear big/shiny beltbuckles that attract the eye to your waist.

Good tip, for underweight/tall people.

BTW, pink shirts ARE hot right now...

Jesus christ. That is a prime example of how... bull****... people are these days. One day it's considered to be 'gay' cause of it's colour, then a few mags say pink is in, and a celeb. wears a pink shirt... BOOM! They're so cool!

If you took someone with a pink shirt and a mullet into a club a year ago, you'd have been ripped apart. At my local club, it's fast becoming the other way around :\

uhhhhhh Hell to the NO

You can't follow technique X or you would look like a dumb***

It don't look right wearing a dark blue shirt with Khaki/beige pants. Don't you think it would be more pleasant if you wore khaky beige pants with a light brown , tan shirt and the dark blue shirt with some dark denim jeans?

You have to match.

AND ENOUGH WITH FREAKING CLOTHING THREADS

Match the F**K UP

okay so your saying you got a Shrit and to match every pair of pants you have? Wear that outfit and ask girl how you look buddy!!

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Yall seem you dress really boring...All that button up and jeans stuff is boring, cause everyone does it and they think thats what dressing well is...You look like your trying too hard with all that...I say dress how you want, but if you cant get any girls, then its on you...Its better to do that than to conform to this...First off all, only certian (sp) people can pull it off...Dress how you feel...Watch someone get mad...

When I said "overweight" I didn't mean obese, or people with beer guts. I meant people (like me) who are bigger than the average guy. I'm about 200lbs right now, mostly muscle but still too big to dress the same way my 130lbs friends dress.

What I meant, is that stuff that works for you underweight people don't work for normal or slightly bigger people.

But yeah, if you're overweight and out of shape (as opposed to "officially" overweight but in relatively good shape) you should lose weight then worry about clothes.
