"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

So I am a bit shy myself....and this girl that I like is I think shy too?

Were in college - she was in one of my classes last year, and I ignored her when she tried to talk to me. While taking the bus, I was sitting down and felt someone was watching me, and I looked up, it was her again just standing there and smiling at me, I looked at her and just ignored her and continued to read my paper

Again this was last year, and man looking back at it, what I did was pretty cruel.....the thing is, plenty of other girls do this to me and I feel disgusted/uncomfortable, so that was my reason for doing this.

This semester she was in my class again and I thought to myself, its the same girl. I didn't care for about a week, but then I started to notice her more and more, and she was just really pretty. I was walking out of the washroom one day and she was standing there, and we basically locked eyes for a good 6 seconds - this has never happened to me before as I usually just ignore most girls....

Anyways, I kept on admiring her in class, and I got caught lol. She sorta turned around to look at me, since her friends nodded to her that I was looking I guess, and she basically snapped her head to the front as soon as she noticed me starring at her lol.

So, throughout this semester shes been doing all of these things to grab my attention:

-she'd talk louder to get my attention
-she walked across the class // walked outside the class and walked back in, and I didn't realize this at first, but her friends were watching me if I was paying attention, and I really was
-I try to sit near her, and I can hear her ask her friend if I am looking at her (lol, class is pretty boring), and when her friend nods, she starts playing with her hair - she does look more pretty that way I have to admit.

Sooooooooo.....I was pretty shy and it took me a whole 2 months to finally talk to her, at which point she seemed really happy and enthusiastic. She even asked me for my name. However, whenever I try to make eye contact with her, she would just look down so I thought she didn't want to talk to me....or was just shy.

Anyways, we bumped into each other in the library and I have a strong feeling she followed me there lol. We talked etc.

I thought ok since shes made a good effort to talk to me outside of class I should do the same - I waited for her in another building and she was really shocked or something. we talked about random stuff but she was pretty quiet // or scared lol. As we approached class, she said I was creeping her out but she was giggling so I thought ok I screwed up.

But later next week, she would do all these things to grab my attention again....she even turned around and gave me this serious look, so I thought ok maybe shes cool now.

Later that week, I saw her at the library, and it seemed as if she was looking for someone. I looked up at her, surprised, and as soon as she saw me, she looked strait and rushed towards the exits.

So I thought ok, maybe shes shy? I waited for her again near a buidling and asked if she wanted to get something to eat. She just shook her head but had this facial gesture which implied disappointment....I asked her why not, if she had things to do, and she just said I've got things to do in a giggly sorta way. So now its awkward - she starts walking faster and faster and I follow. I'm kinda puzzled at this point and am looking at the ground lol...after a while, I feel shes looking at me since theres an awkward silence, and as soon as I look at her, she snaps her head and looks at the washroom sign. I look up at the washroom sign too and as soon as she notices me looking at the sign, she says "ill cya later" in a serious way. Shes looking at the ground while saying this. LOL WTF.

So the next class, she does the same things even more. She asks her friend if I am looking at her or not etc. She leans her chair back to get closer to me? Shes basically trying hard to get my attention.

lol - I am very confused and just really disappointed. I think I screwed up pretty bad when I ignored her last semester???

At first I thought I was getting played, but she followed me // got her friends to follow me etc. I know this girl likes me, its obvious by her body language.....but I am a bit confused by her actions.

Also, I didn't know half the stuff she was doing until later when I thought about it. She seems immature.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Welcome to Mrs. Johnson's 3rd Grade Class!

All the analyzing is moot point: you asked her out, she declined.

Look at my sig. Start chatting up other girls.

Hi, I'm new here been a lurker and just saw your topic. Listen, your over analyzing the situation. Talk to her, get her number. Simple. If she likes you she will respond and give up the number if not then move on. Simple. Your thinking way to much into her body language. It's obvious she wants you to initiate and talk to her but she is put off by the fact your not responding.

To re-iterate what vatoloco told you: All the analyzing is moot.

Why does a woman do what she does? Because she's a woman. That's all you need to know.

She could do back flips, perform a waltz, or bake you a dozen cupcakes. The point of the story is - she's rejected your offer. And even if there was hope, all the work and thought you're putting into it....it's not worth it.

That's why you don't sit back, wondering about a girl for months. Because no matter how much you analyze, no matter how long you prepare, the entire situation comes down to:

You: "Do you wanna hang out?"
Girl "Yes" or "No"

And that's a scenario that could have played out in the first week that you saw her.

And yes, this whole situation is 3rd Grade.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Only she herself knows for sure.

Maybe her horoscope said not to accept dates that day. Maybe her friends think you have a big head and she's afraid of being a social pariah by being seen with you. Maybe she's afraid of the impending Mayan Apocalypse this December 21st and said "Nah, what for!?" Or maybe, like you said, it's because "she seems immature."

Seriously, it doesn't matter why she said "No". What matters is that you closed (ask her out) and she said "No". That way you now know not to waste any time, money or effort on her.

Talk and flirt with other girls. You won't worry about this one.

Too much.

;)

Edit: Yes. What Iceberg said.

If your not going to grab your balls and talk to her then no. Simple.

It seems like I'm repeating myself again.

Oh boy... you need major help, son. Drop everything you're doing and start reading all the "Newbie" stuff of the DJ Bible: http://www.nick-hill.com/djb/

I personally would NEXT her but, tell you what. You talk to her in a friendly manner but also talk and flirt with other girls. Can you do that? You can cross later bridges when you get to them...

WTF!? Are you people truly in college!? Hmm... troll?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Try to let her or her friends see you mack on other girls and see what happens

I got one question though. Why did you wait 2 months to approach? I mean, you said that you locked eyes with her for 6 SECONDS! 6 SECONDS MAN!
