I've noticed a number of posts in the
discussion category that have to do
with 1. failing to capture 'looks' from
women and 2. Getting an immediate lukewarm
response to going out on that first date.

I think I know exactly what's happening and
how to avoid it. Try this.

1. Trust me, you either LOOK BORING, or
NOT DANGEROUS. Hey, i can relate to the
guy who bought "new slacks and shoes" etc.
That was good thinking, but you didnt take
it far enough. I've gone down this road,
and its confusing because youre thinking
"hey, i look NICE". And I'll risk the
wrath of the don juan site and tell you
that women DO LIKE NICE GUYS. BUT NOT
JUST...NICE GUYS. More than anything,
women want COMBINATIONS of features in a guy.
Here a few style tips. I dare you to try
one or two, and report back.
1. BOOTS BOOTS BOOTS. If you do one thing,
wear a pair of cowboy boots. This obviously
works better in NON WESTERN situations where
everybody has a pair. It'll INSTANTLY make
you look meaner, tougher, and more stylish.
2. An IDENTITY piece of clothing. Women
LOVE manly organizations. Anything that
identifies you with: scuba diving, rock
climbing, firemen, karate, race driving,
(I'm NOT talking about idiotic wrestling,
nascar couch potatos, or skoal caps).
This is the ultimate style weapon.
3. DONT just wear the gear. GET associated
with something macho, and wear the heck
out of it.
4. Go to the "Controlled" hair thing.
DOnt use huge amounts of gel, but
slick the sides down a little. Women
love CONTROLLED STRENGTH. Your hair
should look like controlled strength.
5. ONE unique, but macho, piece of jewelry.
DO NOT wear it traditionally. If you
have a ring, but it on an unusual finger.
A watch should be word backwards, unless
its major cache.
6. Finally, get a style coach. OTHER
WOMEN will tell you how you can add ONE
or TWO bits of attire to maximum effect.
Each guy's will be different.

not sure about the boots thing. i think that may be hit or miss, especially in a non-western area. when i go for boots, i normally go with the black, dressy kind.

i agree with u on the rest of the style thing. if u have a unique style, it shows self-confidence and smoothness. that should knock down the beginning barriers with a woman right from the start, especially if u aren't too confident in speech, i think she may give u the benefit of the doubt to begin with in an opening conversation if u r looking sharp.

basically, ur clothes style and hairstyle really need to match. an outfit, coupled with ur natural "look" should kinda flow together. everyone's is different, but as an example, i have a real athletic, cut build, and i love to check out the GQ editions where they have pro athletes modeling clothes. everything just "fits". u know?

hate to sound thick mate, but what do you mean a watch should be "word backwards"? also, does a watch qualify as a peice of jewelry? finally, what would you suggest wearing on a first date (coffee place?)

While I do like the title of the post because style can and SHOULD be used to attract attention, I firmly believe that you have no fashion sense whatsoever.

Cowboy boots? This site is full of men from all over the world most likely between the ages of 16-25, I'm sorry, but here in the northeastern USA, we'd laugh the hell out of some young guy wearing cowboy boots.

Scubadiving? Rock climbing? Karate? These are all great things to get involved in to increase your overall confidence in yourself, but I mean what does a man wear to show these things? Most likely a crappy T-shirt of the company you scubadive, rock climb, or practice karate with. Crappy T-shirt = NOT FASHIONABLE.

Although these things may work for you, which I seriously doubt, these fashion tips would not work for 98% of the men on this site, nay, in the WORLD.

Only a sissy gives a sh1t if he gets laughed at for wearing cowboy boots. You're on a date. I think most of the DJ's want to impress their girls, not people around them when on a date with our dress. Also, if the girl is OK with the outfit, and you do get laughed at, you can demonstrate great confidence if you handle those losers' reactions well.

But make sure that the girl you're with thinks the cowboy boots are trendy.

And if you're out looking to capture some 'looks', that'll definately get them.
