Turning to drugs to cope with life’s circumstances. A common theme amongst buddies?

This seems to be a problem with my civilian friends out here ever since I got out of the Military. Some or if not most of my buds, have drank heavily, smoked meth and did Coke and have gotten into trouble with the law for it. Can anyone else here relate? or it’s just me? I even suspect my lawyer brother to be doing drugs aswell. What do you guys think? Is this a common theme for today’s society?

There’s nothing wrong with having vices like pipe smoking, wine and beer sipping, heck even Mary Jane is good on a Sunday. It’s when you let hard drugs control your life that it’s a problem.

Yeah, I was once in this same dilemma, then I stopped hanging around in slums and trailer parks + Reduced my visits to the nearest Indian casino down to once per year. Ever since then, NO ONE in my daily life has been a hardcore doper

Said turn of events has been more inexplicable than the bulk of our agricultural workforce vanishing over the past two decades, right after we ceased sweating teen superpredators, and revived our time-honored stiffy for immigration hysteria
