Shoot the sh*t. Talk about what theyve been doing and talk about stuff that happened in the past.

I've been meeting with a lot of old friends lately, mostly people I used to know in elementary school/junior high, to catch up on stuff before we head off to college so I've learned a lot about keeping a conversation with an old friend going.

Before you meet think about a few things you want to ask him about, how've you been, are you still doing X, what are you looking forward to about Y, etc, then put them aside. Don't worry about what to talk about as soon as you two meet, because as you know this person you'll probably get a conversation going right off the bat about something or other. Relax and let this first conversation flow naturally and it should last for plenty of time. When you get to a long pause, ask one of the questions or bring up one of the topics you thought up beforehand, and that'll lead to a whole new conversation. Rinse and repeat.

Also, always look really comfortable around him, because your mood is likely to affect his and it's always best to keep people feeling good/comfy. If you ever freeze up and think to yourself "omg quick think of something to say this is awkward" just chill, take a breath and appear always comfortable, to avoid coming across as awkward.

Don't worry at all, we meet and re-meet people for fun, so thats what it should be. Relax and have a good time.
