Topic Selection??

I have to do a project and the theme is "Taking a Stand in History: People, Idea's, and Events"

Any thoughts? I don't want to do something that everyone and their grandmothers have heard of?.

I haven't been around for very long. Has anything monumental happened in the past 50 or so years in countries other than the U.S.? I would ask my parents but they are both American, and don't know alot about affairs going on in other places.

I think that the fall of communism in Eastern Europe would be a topic that fits that title. This might be too broad, so concentrating on say the Berlin Wall or Tiamamenn (sp?) Square might be better.

Chehnya (sp?) is another interesting one, post USSR.

You could even talk about the Suffragettes if you wanted to annoy the rest of SoSuave.

You could fit almost anything to that title, so do whatver you like. Let us know what you choose.
