I was in your position about 9 months ago , I decided to get control of my life and become a MAN.
My advice to you is , if you love someone set them free & if they truly love you and come back ...set them free again because that means nobody wanted them.
It's not your fault the relationship didn't work , learn from it and grow. If you know the basics of probability. .setting your eyes and heart on ONE woman is a joke knowing there are billions out there.
Live your life and be the master of your own world and the rest shall be added.
Odds are the woman you might spend your life with ...you won't even chase her , she will be the one to walk into your life.

Couldn't have said it better. Oddly enough, I was there roughly 9 months ago. The first months were hard. I began reading into pick up, which in retrospect I was only doing so to quickly replace this chick and fill a void. Being out of the single life "game" for five years I was clueless, confused, and misguided by my lack of experience. Anyway, fast forward to July 2015, I've read both Rational Male books, the Book of Pook, and other articles on this forum. In just one month I've found myself having a better mental clarity about life than I did the former 8 months together, largely due to the mentioned literature. This stuff will take you far gentlemen.

Offering my 2 cents to those of you who may be going through a recent break up. Read this stuff. Be warned; however, one must dive in with an emotional awareness. In other words, don't read this if you are angry or depressed about your current situation. This has the propensity to remind you of what you did wrong, which may create an overall feeling of bitterness or denial.

If you must elicit anger, do so in a healthy way that will empower you to take control of your life, thus giving you the proper tools to steer your life in the right direction. Remember: anger is an energy, may the road rise with you.

What pisses me off about women is they always want the next best thing. Right now I have my eyes set on an 8/10...I would totally commit to her. I am a pretty attractive guy... talking to multiple 8's and one 9....so it's not a matter of a lack of options. Mg point is I know a lot of guys who arr content with their woman and won't go leaving them for the next best thing...but I know very few women who.are like this.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Let me clarify... I've been seeing her for a little over a month. Im extremely attracted to her, but I am realistic…I know there is always going to be a hotter new bus that comes along every 15 minutes. But I would not let knowing that simple fact keep me from committing to her if she wanted a relationship with me. My love life is not like buying a car, I don't need the best available option for the best price and then decide if its worth it or not it is very black or white for me. IF I like her I like her…end of story.

Most women will not commit to a man unless they think they are the absolute best they can do even if they REALLY like the guy.

How many times have you heard a girl your talking to tell you "I realized I could do much better" when referring to why they left their husband or ex? Or "I don't think your the right choice for me" All the time….but you'll never hear a dude talk like that. Men are completely incapable of making logical decisions once they start falling for a chick, women however...
