I know it is still time :D just sharing a small tip (suggested by a friend), which proved quite useful for me. I used the same technique to reflect on my past years and noticed quite damaging (though small) and recurring habits.

  • Every year on thirty first December, sit down and look back on your year.
  • Note down the mistakes that you made, during that year.
  • Write down what you learned from these mistakes.
  • Don't repeat these mistakes again :)

Although I agree with you in principle, I would reflect more regularly than simply once a year so that improvement/development is achieved more quickly.

If you reflect only once a year, you are likely to overlook/forget small but important mistakes.

Make it monthly , yearly mean you are late one year to discover (put aside to fix ) your problems . and year is big compared to age of human especially the youth years .
