Might be correct, but still remember that it's the Russian propaganda news. I'm not saying that Fox News is better, but just that neither are completely objective.

One thing's for sure.

The West isn't in Libya out of humanitarian concern.

What? You mean that Libya under Ghadaffi (although a dictator) had one of the highest standards of living and educated people in it's region, the highest Human Development Index in the region, 4th largest GDP in the region and now suddenly 10,000 people are killed, the country's infrastructure is destroyed and Sharia Law has been declared by the National Transitional Council?

"But we are there to make the country better nad give the people more freedom and democracy!"

So Arcbound, why do you think the people revolted?

I'm not saying you're wrong just genuinely curious.

While that country did get more islamic under Gaddafi's rule it was surely a lot more secular than it is now. Gaddafi did a lot of great things for the people there while ruthlessly crushing all those that opposed him. From our standpoint the old version of Libya was actually better, Gaddafi stated there was no room for extremism in the country when he was still around. What do they have now? Sharia law and polygamy... LOL WTF..
