This post is inspired by a response that @Tenacity made in another thread saying that the three types of guys that score in today's market are the player, the simp, and the thug.
Use this thread to comment or add to that theory if you'd like, but I'm also trying to find my place in this...
I think "player" is the only one that could ever potentially fit.
Simp - I don't think I'm a simp. I don't think girls would believe me even if I tried to act like one. They can see through that I'm not that nice, and I honestly don't really want to be. I've also noticed that a lot of what girls seem to be selecting are simps that stand up for themselves "just a little" (even if it's just for show) probably just so she feels she's not entirely walking over the guy.
Thug - I'm definitely not a thug. I don't have a gun or do drugs. But I will tell you that I have been to prison and I don't take thugs very seriously. That's not to say they aren't capable of doing things that are extremely violent, but I've seen them on the inside of prison and they are like little kids at recess. Playing basketball, breaking the rules, and calling their mom for money. Yes, even the Bloods and the Crips are like this. Which is important to note that I was at a bar a few months ago and there was a guy with a blue "flag" hanging out of his pocket obviously trying to let people know that he is claiming to be affiliated with a gang and that he's real hardcore, etc. Now, obviously, the majority of people in the world haven't been to prison so they can't see through this. But like I said, obviously they are capable of being violent, especially when provoked in front of others where they feel the need to keep their reputation up.
So that leaves "the player."
Well I'm definitely not a player. I'm currently a "john" (a guy who hires escorts). Given the bull**** nature of the market, I'm not sure that I really want to play, but there is nothing that's going to stop me from thinking about this every day, so I might as well. The other choice is to sit in my house and read about history every day? Or spend my life flipping houses and nothing else?
Now how do I find my niche in the player market? I honestly think that being "the rich guy" is my key to success. Flipping houses and making lots of money is a humongous display of value and intelligence. I don't even need to be a millionaire, I just have to be able to claim that I am one. I already have the house, now I just need to car (the Bentley that I should be buying in the next few months.)
Once rich, I think I should be really humble about it. I should work on being cool to hang out with. I should be able to join any social circle if I'm not even afraid of the gang members, right?
But I really need to get out there and start making some conversations. For some reason, even if I had a million dollars, I don't think a girl would want to be monogamous with me unless she was crazy. I don't think I'm stable enough. I could be wrong about that. I'm waiting to get over this bronchitis so I can go out again.
