Workplace romances are a pain even for those not involved
We have an HB9 at work who is in a bad marriage and has two kids. She has talked the whole time I"ve been there about divorcing her husband, but really taken no action.
For fun, with her and the other women at work I'll flirt. One of my coworkers who I've taught a bit of game to (although he doesn't really follow it) has also.
So I opened the HB9 up and tease her a bit. This has allowed my coworker to get to know her over the last several months.
Now he is supplicating to her, buying coffee (all things I caution him against) and showing obvious interest. And it's actually working. This is interesting, but it is because she has a husband who shows her no interest at all, is rarely home and is verbally abusive to her. My coworker is a traditional nice guy who builds alot of comfort with her and is the classic nice guy provider type.
But why does this situation seem bad? One she isn't divorced yet. My buddy hangs on her every word and even gloats because she stops by his office every day. I think he thinks he's beat me out for her, but I don't have any interest in her since she carries alot of baggage, plus I"d never mess with a girl while she's still married.
While I get physical IOI's from her such as, her touching me etc, she lays off a bit on the socializing because she's met my LTR.
And getting to the downside of it all. It is becoming quite obvious and annoying to everyone that both of them are slacking on the job. Literally she socializes with him for over an hour a day. My coworker was pretty laid back and even a bit lazy to start with in terms of getting things done and this just seems to be making it that much worse.
At first I thought it was great and was glad to help him. Now I'm getting kind of tired of him taking it easy socializing with her for much of the day while I am busting my butt to get the work done.
I don't want to do something to make him crash and burn with her, but I'm tempted to AMOG him just to get him to do more work. It's made the workload very unbalanced.
