Just do things. Don't question why, don't preplan, don't overanalyze... just do. I began noticing this first in the sports I do - I perform soooo much better when I just play. No thought about strategy, no psyching myself out because my opponent(s) is/are ranked really high or have a reputation for being insanely good. just action. pure action.
When you know the skills for, say, a martial art (or any sort of 1-on-1 sport), and you've seen people doing it for a certain length of time, reactions... movements... when to attack and when to just feel out the opponent... it all becomes natural. I started doing this in sport, and there's been a massive improvement in my game.
Recently, I've applied this to everything. I naturally reach out to a girl's arm to take a closer look at an interesting bracelet. I tease a chick because, well, I just feel like teasing her. It all comes out smooth and effortless.
Now I'm not going to give you some new miracle tip because this is all new to me, but I just wanted to say that all this talk of "don't overanalyze!" and "don't deconstruct each thing the chick does!"... It is dead-on. Stop thinking, start doing, and if you're anything like me, you'll notice a difference. A big difference.
