"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I occassionaly read the forums on POF for some lulz.

One dude who's posts I noticed writes good, works out yet is possibly the most desperate dude ever on POF has GOT to be this guy. He seems very intelligent but most likely too intelligent to see his own mistakes.

Now anyone with even the most remote amount of self-respect for themselves who've been on an online dating site for over FIVE years and STILL has no clue of how to get women to respond needs to get off online dating for good. Though I'm positive he has no clue of getting women in real life.

Check out his posting history and 'breakdowns' of online dating below. Damn that dude COULD be having success if he wasn't so intelligent yet completely clueless.

Moral of the story is: Don't be a clueless intelligent guy who ANALizes everything till they go insane.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hes 5'4" that would definately contribute to his lack of success.
He should list himself as 5'10" :)

He does seem fairly intelligent,
I mean if there is no hope for him,

WHAT HOPE IS THERE FOR ME?

Anybody who uses the "Meet Me" feature on POF has got his head up his *ss. He's 5'4 and expects women to hit on him, apparently.

A couple of years ago I put up a fake profile of a guy who I thought was as attractive as I could find online, with perfect stats. 6'2, great job, no kids, etc. He got maybe one email every week or two. Chicks just don't hit on guys online no matter how perfect the guy is. Most women don't even browse for men because they're too busy cleaning out the hundreds of emails that are in their inbox.

You gotta send out sh*t-tons of emails. Sh*t-tons.

Reading that guy's posts make me feel icky.

Not true. When I did the an experiment about a year ago with a friend of mines pictures he was getting SEVERAL unsolicited emails. Tall, Model looks, Italian, Tanned, Swimmers build, GQ haircut, literally a dude who would blow away and would be the perfect fit for the Jersey Shore cast. I'm talking about a dude who if he ever was on that show would shoot to stardom as the man on that retarded show and have LOADS of chicks in love with him.

Anyway..The problem with the dude on POF is he's got the build (doesn't show it off) cannot stop whining and admitting in public he's desperate as hell. Plus the dude writes War and Peace for practically EVERY post he makes.

And this dude though well written and seemingly intelligent has no friggin clue after being a screenplay writer how to spice up his OWN profile and first messages? Foreveralones are their own worst enemy.

"Several" LOL ok. Instead of one or two, several then.

Guys who post that they put a fake profile and it got tons and tons of emails and the women were in love with it are full of sh*t. No offense.

Here's Heartiste's evaluation of a guy who did far more than anybody here has ever done with regards to fake profiles:

http://heartiste.wordpress.com/2012/06/29/results-from-an-online-dating-experiment/

Read Heartiste's analysis then read the actual experiment here:

http://jonmillward.com/blog/attraction-dating/cupid-on-trial-a-4-month-online-dating-experiment/

To summarize, no matter how hot the dude, he gets almost no unsolicited emails from women. Yes, he'll get more than ugly dudes, but not much more. Sitting around waiting for women to contact you online is a total waste of time.

I've got no reason to lie. If you were there when I did it you'd still be in disbelief. I literally had to shut the IM off. Chicks IMing before I even had a chance to email reply. Emails out. 98% replies with well over a hundred chicks in a two week period. Only TWO didn't respond. Several unsolicited emails, numbers given without asking in two to three exchanges, chicks calling him 'pimp', talking sexually almost right off the bat or suggestively. Offered a threesome by a stripper etc. Whenever I sent an email. Copy and paste a one sentence boring: What's goin on toots? That was it. Profile was lame. It's pictures. Same reason chicks reply more frequent to dudes who are cut up in pictures though will never admit it publicly.

It is in the Tri-State area. Huge population most likely was part of the reason.
