"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I stumbled on this show on youtube called "Keys to the VIP." It's a game show based out of Canada...but heres a perfect description of it off of wikipedia:

"The game involves two self described "pick up artists" competing against each other to pick up women in a real bar. The two contestants go against each other in time limited rounds to complete different objectives all related to seducing women. Hidden camera's record all the action that occurs, with four "expert" pick up artists judging to decide which of the two contestants did better picking up women during a round. The winner is the contestant that wins at least two out of the three rounds, and goes on to win a party in a private VIP room with a select group of friends."

This show is AMAZING. You learn so much, it's hilarious, entertaining - I couldn't stop watching it. It's so educational...you learn what to do, what NOT to do, social dynamics in the club - I can't even describe the practical value one can pick up from this show. And best of all...it's funny as $h!t. Not only is watching the 'players' in action good, but the commentators (in addition to being insightful) are freakin' hilarious you'd think they're comedians.

Do yourself a favour and click on that link and start watchin this show. It's damn good.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I dunno, I watched it once, and we had a decent looking guy that knew how to talk, and then we had the cuban (or Jamacian) drummer with funky clothes and a way out attitude.

Didn't do much for me.

Watch Episode #1 and #13. Some episodes are definitely better than others.
