"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I have been with my current GF for about a year now. We live together now and get along great. Sex is fantastic and she treats me well.

The only problem is that I never see her. She works in real estate and is at the office at least 10-12 hours a day, 6 days a week. Her company treats her like crap, and she is terribly underpaid, but she believes she can't find anything better. A typical work day for her is to work an extra 2 hours and then have drinks with her work buddies for another hour or so. This leads me to the following conclusions...

1. She does not believe in herself.
2. She enjoys getting treated poorly.
3. Spending time with me is not very important.
4. She may be cheating on me. (Unlikely, but I would be blind to not consider it)

Ever since I found this forum, I have done my best not to be needy or overly sensitive, but this sh!t is affecting me bigtime. We have had numerous discussions about this, but nothing is changing.

If I do leave her, I will be forced to live with my parents for a while, so that's a bummer. But I don't think I can continue like this.

Please tell me, am I being utterly stupid?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I think you need to start exploring some other options. Do it carefully. Somewhat quietly. Start focusing on yourself a little bit. Now is the prefect time to take up those swing dance lessons you always wanted to try.

She will either sense this distance, and respond, or she will not. If not it means you are increasingly losing her interest or have lost it.

The nice thing about this is that it both deals with the problem with her (her lack of attention) and deals with the problem with you (your lack of other options).

Go out. Get around.

Stop discussing this issue. Sounds like you've talked it to death. Start doing something.

how old are you?

If you are unhappy, i would just take the highroad and move the hell out. I wouldnt even tell her, id just be gone in 60 seconds. I would do this if this has been going on for awhile.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
