"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Well guys, after almost 2 years reading and getting many information about what concerns us, it´s time for action. One night I felt that I had to start practising to solve my problem once and for all. I realised that I needed to join the Boot Camp in order to get results, and here I am.

This is my progress so far:

WEEK 1
DAY 1
HI´s: 17

After reading the posts on Friday night and Saturday morning, it was time to start practising. The first and second “hi´s” were great!! After saying them I thought YEEEEEEESSSSSS I´VE DONE IT!!!!!! But the fourth one was more of a normal thing for me, which I perceived as something positive. I said 17 hi´s on this day, and I learnt a few things:

1.- Most people out there are a bunch of AFC´s (women included) who can´t hold eye contact even for half a second, let alone saying “hi” back. That tells me that I´m on a level that maybe they won´t ever get to. Some of them said “hi” back, though.

2.- I decided to go for women only, and more or less half of them were HB´s. As I practised, I had a feeling that I had not had ever before: I felt like I could choose the women I wanted to say hi to. I wanted to go for “quality” women; if they didn´t meet my physical standards, I would look for another one. That gave me some sense of power.

3.- Getting so many “rejections” made me not care about what they think of me eventually, thus my “hi´s” were more and more natural..

But the biggest breakthrough came at night. I was thinking about Pook´s quote “a man is a guy who is not scared of his testosterone”. Now I do understand it fully. I am a guy and I am heterosexual, so going out and meeting HB´s is something natural, so I don´t have to feel any kind of regret for doing it. Nature gives me permission to talk to women anytime I want, because I´m a man.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

DAY 3
HI´s: 4

I spent day 2 studying and relaxing a little bit at home, but on day 3 (Monday) I went back on track. My 4 “hi´s” were pretty natural, especially the last one. I didn´t expect the woman that was going by, and I said “hi” confidently with a good voice tone without thinking about it. Heck, after 21 “hi´s” it seems that I have accomplished the target of week 1!!!! Day 3 was a very busy one for me, so I expect day 4 (today) to be more productive.

keep up the good work! i have to disagree with the boot camps first week, sure tis good for building confidence but i think its to relaxed. i dont know about where you live but where i am its possible to say hi to 50 ppl with in the space of an hour. my personal oppinion is that you should say hi to 50 people during the course of one morning, then in the after noon, you should be confident enough to hold conversations already rather than spanning saying hi over a week. but thats my oppinion. remeber to include your bad experiences as well as the good ones!

DAY 4
HI´s: 10

Yesterday was again a productive day. I gave the 10 hi´s in the course of an hour and a half, more or less. The most remarkable aspect was that the second, third and fourth ones were very easy because I did them one after the other in the course of 1 - 2 minutes. If you do streaks like this you will have it easier, and as you say Duttylove, you feel more relaxed.

My bad experiences are all the same, basically: I try to hold eye contact, but the woman is too scared to hold it. She looks away, then I say hi and she doesn´t answer. These experiences are good, though, because I take them as rejections and I get used to them. Now rejections are something that I don´t think about.

There were a few good experiences too!!! They happen when the girls hold the eye contact that I initiate. Then I say "hi", and normally she says "hi" back. One of them was specially cute, and she said hi back with a big smile!:)

I found it amazing that such a simple thing as saying "Hi" could get such a great reaction out of a girl.

I actually used this as a way to filter good/happy/positive women from the bad at one point, worked like a damn charm on campus. Walk by....hold eye contact...they smile...you smile back...stop and use the "are you single?" pickup.

Previously I'd just approach anyone, but I found that my daily success with getting a number went from about 0-40% to 70-80% when you wait for the ones who smile back.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

DAY 6
HI´s: 9

Yesterday I did 9 hi´s over the course of 50 minutes, so it´s getting easier and easier. This time I got 5 HB´s say me hi back, which is great!!! Today is the last day of Week 1, so I want to focus on something different today; I want to go out with a playful attitude. I have to eliminate the “let´s-get-many-results” attitude little by little, although it started to disappear on the first day.

Duttylove, after almost finishing Week 1 I would say that saying 100 hi´s is not going to give you much more confidence than doing it 50 times. The difficulty is in starting saying hi to strangers and getting used to it, then do it without caring about what people may think about you. IMHO, 50 cuts it.

I will start reading Week 2´s posts tonight and tomorrow I´ll start practicing. I´ll post today´s results on Monday.

DAY 7
HI´s: 11

Well guys, I´m done with the first week and I´m alive!!! I´ve done 51 hi´s in total, and it´s been a great experience. The negative point was that, at the end of day 7, I was forcing myself to complete the task, so it wasn´t all that funny. In other words, I was trying too hard. But I did it.

The first day of Week 2 was very lousy if we compare it with what I´ve done so far. I went out with the idea of engaging conversations with HB´s; I planned to do at least 2 conversations, and thought that otherwise would be kind of a bad result. In other words, I was trying too hard again!!! It comes without saying that I didn´t engage any conversation.

So yesterday (day 2) I promised myself to calm down, because this is not "life or death" stuff. If one week I fail to accomplish the tasks, I will repeat that week next time. So this week I will just go for the 10 people, irrespective of their sex or whatever.

This morning (day 3) I had the opportunity to talk to an HB 8. We were in the bus, and I asked her to adjust the seat in front of me. The conversation was short but natural. See, when you don´t force things they come by themselves!!!

Asking a girl to do something for you can be a great opener, by the way!!

I´ll keep you informed. Stay tuned.
