This is the luxury of the high fat / low carb lifestyle; you do not have to count anything.

I don't. When I'm hungry I eat something that had skin or something green.

i take in 150-200g fat. doesnt seem to do much for me for energy or for fullness. ive been eating like this for 2+months, havent seen any of the benefits i read about.

is it ok to take moderate amounts of carbs (say 150g) on a high fat diet? most of this is from fruit.

how much carbs do you guys take in?

Quiksilver in some of your posts you talk about how your first meal/meals of the day should be your biggest, and then your last meal at night should be smallest. can you elaborate on this? for example how much calories is a good amount at breakfast or at your second meal?

Well there's no set number of calories to take in for breakfast ,etc. but it's not a big leap to break down your total calorie intake.

Say you're taking in 3000 calories a day:

Meal 1 - 25% - 750 calories (breakfast)
Meal 2 - 20% - 600 calories (brunch)
Meal 3 - 15% - 450 cals (lunch)
Meal 4 - 25% - 750 cals (post workout)
Meal 5 - 10% - 300 cals (dinner)
Meal 6 - 5% - 150 cals (snack)

--

Meals you eat in the morning, you have the whole day to "burn them off". Post workout meal is the exception to the rule.

cheers

Yes, Try to get most of them postworkout however, and include little fat in that meal.

2 depends on your goal/weight/stats etc.

1. I don't know, is it? Try taking in 100-200g carbs on a high fat diet for a few weeks and monitor the results. Some people can get away with it, for others it would add bodyfat to their frame. There's no way anyone on here can know your bodys carb tolerance, you have to figure that out yourself.

2. My carb tolerance isn't that great on a high fat diet, meaning I tend to put on bodyfat if my carb intake gets too high with a high fat diet. I really don't know the exact amount i take in daily, it depends on how much energy I have and how im feeling. If im feeling great, very little carbs. If I'm feeling a little slow, ill bump up my intake a little.

These days it's between 0-100g a day, taken only at breakfast and post workout. Usually wholegrain oats and maybe an gatorade here and there. Few beers on weekend too :)

What i've always seen is that you want at least 40% of your diet to be fats if you want fat to be your primary energy source.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

A few questions:

1. What are the benefits of high fat diets as opposed to low-fat (skinless-boneless chicken, low-fat fish, etc)?

2. I have a metabolism and exercise routine that makes it virtually impossible for me to gain weight. Should I be taking in more fats and carbs than I am now? (I get a pretty good amount of fat and a lot of carbs).

3. I eat a lot of whole chicken pieces (drumsticks, wings, thighs). How does the fat/protien from those compare to red meats?

1. Why would you want to deprive your body of something so vital?
2. You're not eating enough.
3. As far as I know, less. There are other sources for fat, like nuts, avocados, eggs et cetera.
