"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Hey all, hows life treating yas??

Anyway, Im porting because im positive that my girlfriend dropped a shyt test on me today...any input or criticism is welcome

Today is our 1 year anniversary, i call her to say happy anniversary and what not...she is at college atm, training to be an R.A. She goes to a college not too far away so she usually comes home on weekends, but due to training, has not been home for 2 weeks now.

So she calls me again later in the day, when she has a break from training...i dont answer, didnt have my cell on me...Call her back a little later, we chat for a bit.

As a fore-note, she has said in the past how she feels i do not tell her whats going on in my life, more specifically feelings...so as a shyt test today ( i think it is) we're chatting and she decides to tell me how there are these two new students who think they are the shyt...know-it-alls, but for some reason, and she said she "doesn't know why..." she gave one of them her cell number

Now i don't know about you, but to me it seems a bit fvcked up to tell your bf of 1 year to the day! of you giving your number to a guy, especially! on our anniversary...stinks of shyt test

Anyway i acted calm, played as if it didnt bother me, even joked about it, saying "ahh, you guys will probably go on a date now." - a real "i don't care you did that aura."

Basically i want to hear opinions on how i reacted, because now that i sat and thought about it, it seemed really fvcked up to me, and i'd like to tell her straight up that i didn't like it...i mean come on, you're gonna do that on our 1 year anniversary!!?? - i've seriously thought about not getting her anything now for the ocassion

Tell me what you guys think...Tell me if you need more info..criticize..advise

Your reaction was great for a chick you've been seeing --

But for a girlfriend of one year? No way. You've gotta put your foot down.

Should've immediately said, "oh, so it's okay if I get some digits while you're gone, right?

Next time you talk, say that because of her training, this has turned into a long-distance-phone-friend thing, and you want to see other people closer to home.

Sounds wierd, but pre-emptive dumping is the only thing that can save this relationship now. I know this from personal experience, as well as from a lot of guys in this board who did the same.

indeed that does sound weird...i'm a bit unsure about that move, as im sure most people would be...

Update: She texts me a few hours after the 1st convo, "So i definitely wish i were home with you right now :-/"

Women are weird man...one second shes telling me about how for some unknown reason she gave her number out, the next shes texting me with something like this...

Gotta admit im a bit unsure what to think about this at the moment...

And i could understand your reasoning as to why i should have immediately gotten angry, but i feel that doing something like that might backfire in such a way that she would still give out her number...but then just not tell me, to keep me from getting mad, although i have no reason to think she would do that...see what im getting at??

Any ideas??
