Should self-improvement be tied to a goal?

Maybe you know me, I've been hanging out here for a while. In fact, even though I study at medical school, each field in which I want to improve myself is different.

I like learning new languages(Discovering new cultures), I like making beats and writing lyrics, I like reading books about communication and psychology, I used to have a YouTube channel on Football, but I closed it because I couldn't spare time...
At the end of the day, although I have many interests, most of them are anti-social activities and have no use either professionally or for girls.
Do you think more useful activities should be done or should we do what we like?

I have one of my high school friends and he is truly one of the most empty people I have ever seen in this field. He really doesn't understand anything so much that we can't chat for 5 minutes when we sit next to each other.
But he is very good at complimenting girls (Normally, everyone compliments that girl, he has heard the same compliment 10 times, "You should do something else" I think his advice is real, but he compliments girls and is successful), He also looks beautiful. He is handsome and fit.
I recently approached a girl in the library, but she said she had a boyfriend, but it didn't help

He went to Istanbul for university. It's the biggest city in Turkey and he's already been with tons of girls. I'm still at the same point.
That's why I sometimes wonder if I should give up the activities I love and focus on here.

I have followed your Posts here with interest and am amazed at your progress in English,you communicate more effectively than many of the Native speakers....as a spasmodic visitor to Turkiye may I suggest that the realities in a Country like the USA,are just so different from yours as to be verging on irrelevent...I first visited your Country in 1965?it left me with an abiding passion for Byzantine History and Architecture which I maintain....The great Architect of all this mess,has shovelled a goodly ration of smarts into your head space,you can really chose whichever direction in life you wish...If you stay in your own Nation you run the distinct risk of being drawn into it's political Maelstrom,the past has had some very cruel and violent periods....I would suggest you concentrate on your studies with a view to gaining a Scholarship in England or Germany....Take care!

You can have multiple interests in your life. Women should always be secondary.

I played baseball growing up. I was a great player, never the best.

But i didn't give up on the sport. I tried to be better. Practice make perfect.

You should swallow your desire and let it motivate you to be better. There's no better motivation than this, friend.

Take your natural emotion and utilize it for your betterment
