WTF. Things are going great and out of nowhere this chick asks me relationship advice like I'm one of her girlfriends... caught me so off-guard since things seemed to be flowing very smoothly.
Proper way to respond to something like that? I mean obviously ditch the b*tch, but right at the moment what is a good thing to say?

On some occasions, women ask relationship advice as a way of initiating a conversation that she hopes will lead to you showing interest or making a move...or as a way of learning your way of thinking about relationships.

On the other hand, it is often done because she sees no interest from you and assumes you are fine being a girlfriend. If you want to be more than a friend, you need to be lightly flirting with her as a way of reminding her that you're a member of the opposite sex.

I had been flirting plenty and being pretty sexual like I usually am, which is why it caught me so off guard.
She asked me if a guy was dating a girl is it ok for him to start hitting on another girl? I asked why and she said because shes in that situation with two guys who are hitting on her.
It wasn't terribly bad (she could have told me she was bangin another dude or something) but Im just like WTF... i don't give a sh*t, im not your girlfriend.... Didn't actually say that but when your putting your moves on a chick thats the last thing you want her asking about.

Agreed. If I understand the situation right, this girl is single? She could be as Jariel put it

a)trying to find out if you are like these clowns

b)or letting you know indirectly how desirable she is

In this situation if you are looking for something to say, you could:

a)Play the good guy: "nah these guys are total jerks I would never do that if I loved my girl"

b)Turn the question around: "why, interested? are you the type the girl who would go for an attached guy?"

if as you say you are, flirting with her a lot....

then this sounds to me like a **** test. She could be making this up for all you know to see what kind of reaction she can get from you, and if successful see you get jealous.

Assuming these two guys are in relationships with other girls, she's not asking for relationship advice by asking that; she's stating her value!

The guys above are right. It's a test/game women play to a) make you jealous and b) to show you that she has value and desirability.

When women start doing this, it's usually a good sign. Almost every girl I've ever dated has pulled this one on me. Try playing the same game back at her and casually mention that a girl gave you her number or ask advice on a girl who calls you (make it up if you want - just as long as it's convincing).

If she shows any kind of jealous or irritated reaction, she is yours for the taking!

This has happened to me with a co-worker ... about 3-4 time now. She is seeing 2 guys (her x and current boy) at the same time, they both know about each other. We flirt almost everyday ... when the topic of other two guys does come up it is usually something negative (perhaps a hint for me?) Last time her x came she rolled her eyes and smiled mentioned that the movie that they went to was so boring. The same day she mentioned that her current boytoy and her had a fight etc. The interesting thing is that I have used CF on her and sometimes its like she didn't get it or it didn't even phase her... If this is a test of sorts and I think it might be... should I say what cannibustacap has used b4 "I usually charge $100 an hour for therapy, but for you, I'll charge $75"?

PS: Is it crossing the (C&F) line if I say "Sweetie, you need them more than I do" (with a smile ofcourse) when the girl says "Do you want a mint?" :p

Damn, so I next her for nothing?? LOL that sucks.
Actually I just told her "you shouldn't be asking us guys for girlie advice"... im usually being ****y & sarcastic so she just laughed, then i was like You think im kidding?? Shes said no I don't, i just said bye and that was the end of that.

^ Think I might be able to save this one? Now that you guys mention it I might have over reacted on this one, I didn't get angry at her or anything though so should I just go back and play it off like I was just being sarcastic?

If you've been that sexual and flirty towards her, she probably knows your interested.

By her asking you your opinion, she's indirectly saying that she has no interest in you. Hey, if she knows someone else is hitting on her, how come she wouldnt know you are ?

Think about it.

If you wanna put close on things, ask her on a date, or just to hang out and go in for the kiss. You'll figure things out very quickly.

UPDATE:

She must have seen it as just one of my regular ****y statements b/c a few days later we talked again and everything was like normal, she was flirting plenty and everything.
She still brings up the fact that this other guy likes her BUT now she is saying it in a negative way, telling me that he's so clingy or that she's on the phone with him but doesn't want to be...
I think you guys were right on this one, from what she's been saying to me recently it sounds like she is trying really hard to let me know that she's in very high demand. I'm just rollin with it now though, I already won b/c I learned something from the situation.
