She’s extremely jealous – bad sign?

Hi DJ’s.
I’m having a relationship with this girl from about 2 weeks. She’s 26. She adores me and I like the girl.
But she’s extremely jealous. I’m doing the detachment thing with her, being independent from her; but of course, giving her the deserved attention. We don’t see during the day while at work, we usually see each other only at night.

I know she spends the time thinking on me with other girls, she even told me that while on an intimate moment (I don’t see any other woman romantically at this time).

My topic for discussion is, is this a bad sign for a LTR?

In my opinion it can mean that she may outpsyche herself and do something unfortunate.

Extreme jealousy in my mind means that one's ego can't stand the idea, even if unfounded, of not getting all the attention one wants/needs.

So to my way of thinking, at some point she might decide she's not getting enough attention from you and move on.

If its not that bad (and it may not be) then she may just need a little coddling. If you're okay with that, no problem.

Everyone is jealous, it's just that some people hide it better than the others. So long as jealousy is not creating problems in your relationship it's all good. If she places restrictions on you with who you can meet and who you can't it's a definite bad sign. She's a control freak and her real personality will come out once she has you under her control. I've know a girl like that, she was rushing to marry a successful guy I knew, but good thing he turned out smart and he dumped her. He can get any girl and hooking up with a desparate control freak is the worse thing you can do unless you want to be involved with all the drama then tell her like it is.

Is she a Scorpio?

I find that alot of women with that sign are EXTREMELY jealous.

One of the girls I am talking to is 27, Hot, but that Scorpio sign is dangerous. I have to prepare myself before each meeting to come up with a few C+F responses to about 50 sum questions about jealous ****.

It's great to see someone with such high interest in you, but it's only been 2 weeks - not long enough to gauge anything really. Keep up what you're doing and stay cool, steady, and see how it works out. This could be a great LTR.

Jeez, don't get scared. Ask her why she's acting like that. The important thing here is not to let her put any barriers on you but that doesn't mean that you should avoid her ****. If she's jealous it would be much easier for you to put a rule in place than it is for her. If she's a ***** you can exploit that and keep her around for an occasional ****. If you have morals you might think of something more original to do with her though ;-)

The title of this thread made me crack up. Of course it is a bad sign, Jealous=Insecure/low self image/trust issues. Extremely Jealous people will manipulate people by getting control on them.

Psychopath dudes who keep their women from having a life, girls who wedge their boyfriends away from all their friends are extremely jealous and insecure. What sucks is women because they can't physically intimidate a guy will use subversive, sneaky **** to control you to quell their jealousy and insecurity

You want hell everytime you go out with your boys? You want hell for having a female friend? What about a social life while she's not there? You want to suddenly see your porn disappear or get *****ed at about or both? She'll find a way to destroy that because of her jealousy.

I just can't believe this thread wasn't jumped on as strongly as it is. Ditch this loser dude.

That last post is a bit over the top. There's no evidence based on what Ulex has said that she's a 'psychopath'. She's young and insecure most likely, not a new story. So long as Ulex keeps things in perspective and maintains his self-control, it could work out fine. Time will tell.
