Shaving for stubble

How do I shave so that I can keep some stubble so I don't look 16? I don't like a full beard or the clean shaven look. Should I buy a beard trimmer and put a #2 on it?

An electric shaver will get that done; I'm not sure what # will do the trick for you. It depends on the individual.

Start with a bigger number, then just work your way down until you get the look you want.

I shave with the grain and just shave lightly. Not pressing into the skin.

Buy a beard trimmer and see what works for you.

I use a beard trimmer but mine grows pretty fast anyway.

i use a Wahl trimmer, it's powered by a single AA battery. it's actually meant for cats/dogs, but i got the thing for $.50, so i'm not complaining, it works great.
it gives a good stubbled/rough look when you just shave with that.

a funny side note:
i'm 22
-if i shave with my mach 3, i get carded for beer everywhere i go.
-if i shave with the wahl trimmer or just run with a light beard, i get asked "cash or credit?"

so now my shave depends on the venue...

wish i was like that, my face hair grows at a ridiculus rate! kind of annoying!
