"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Well A few months back I graduated from high school and I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and I was pretty much expecting to leave for the air force right away, but the recruiter said that i couldnt leave for basic training til a job i listed for opened up. well today i was supposed to be finally getting one of the jpbs i listed for but something went wrong and it turns out the soonest i could leave isnt until October-and thats not even a set thing yet. Im kinda pissed right now seeing as I dont have a job and im having a hard time finding one. I couldve been in so many relationships but once the girls found out i was gonna be leaving for the air force they didnt wanna get too deep into anything same as i didnt want to, but now i wont be leave for at least 4 months. I've already been sworn into the military so theres no backing out. but right now I feel like I'm off track with my life. I wanted to leave asap but now i dont know what to do since thats not gonna happen.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Trying to look on the bright side, at least you were smart enough to choose the Air Force. You will not be dying in Iraq. It's supply and demand with the jobs. The AF can afford to be more selective, especially with the war going. The Army or Marines would have shipped you out right away, to eventually end up in Iraq getting shot at. It's because you chose a better job that you have to wait, so don't be bummed. Anything is better than being in Iraq.

Yea I def have to get a job-Ive been jobless for about 2 months and it sucks. So back to the girl situation-you guys think I shouldnt tell them Im leaving for the Air Force? I thought the whole military thing would be something like a turn-on. Im tired of the short term/ons type relationships though, but since I have at least a few months would it be a alright idea to go for a ltr?

Are you joining the military to just attarct girls?

I got into a relationship 2 1/2 before my ship date (july 17) and it's been the best relationship her and I ever had. She and I promised not to cheat and I know she is the type of girl to keep her promise.

I know girls cheat and lie alot so dont post it.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I find this fvcked up in so many ways. "Lets join the army so we can do something with our lives, and maybe achive something that we can't do on our own but if by any chance we have to fight for our country, run like hell."

Your are joining the army son. If you'r NOT willing to go where they want you (with at least some entusiasam) then what the hell are you doing in the ARMY

If you could read then you'd know that its the Air Force-not the army.
