Private Message size.

You can't send a message larger than 1000 characters. I think some people (myself included) may find that its a too small.

Sometimes I find my message too large, and have to divide it in 2 parts, which is awfully annoying.

How about changing it to 3000 characters??? This small change will make significant improvements.

Why would Allen want to devote THAT much disk space to discussions that the group is not seeing? I think to do that he would be acting as a public doormat and since women are turned off by that characteristic in men I put it high on the list of attitudes to avoid. If the PM discussions are that in-depth, just take it to e-mail.

PDX - your own post is 818 characters long. And you didnt post a book.

1000 Characters is 2 small paragraphs, and when you get a message that tells you to cut it in half, its annoying.

Obviously you haven't used the feature yet. Otherwise you'd want to lengther it.

THAT MUCH???? Just how much??? I still send the same amount of text, I just divide it into 2 messages. And even if it increased the prectious disk space, it would be +5 mb of text.

PDX, this is a forum. From the very beginning to this moment there is about 500 mb of text MAXIMUM (maybe 1 gb). All posts combined together. All of them, starting with the very 1st guys.

I have decided to increase the allowable length to 2500 characters. Keep in mind that you can only maintain 30 PMs at one time. More than that will bounce, so you'll want to keep your Inbox and Sent folders as empty as possible. If they're important then save them to your computer.

Well, yeah. I was just envisioning a situation where people started have these really long discussions in PM's as if it were e-mail. I have had a lot of private e-mail discussions on seduction and I know they can get quite long. If Allen were faced with providing disk space for a significant number of people doing that, it would add up.

But in any case, Allen has lengthened it, so that's cool
