"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Hi guys, this is my first post on the forums, so here goes...

Back in October of 2004, i was a foolish AFC, who hadn't found this site until after the new year. I had met a brilliant girl (easily a 9 in looks, and an 10 in personality) and we started off as just friends. We enjoyed the same stuff, had a great time together and so i decided to move in...

Being a typical AFC at this time, i just said to her, "i like you" expecting everything to fall in place. Instead i got the reply of "so, we can still have our great conversations, right?". I was not impressed to say the least.

I decided to leave it be for a little while, then came across this site. Learnt a few moves and what sort of mentality to have when trying to get girls.

So i turned on my charm, and pulled the the courage to ask her to the spring ball with me (was yesterday 5th March 2005). The reply i got was: "oh, i don't know, ill definately give you a reply though" which from what i've been told by her best male friends, is an extremely positive result, as she usually says no straight off to most guys.

Time went by, and due to the fact that i had gone away to Italy for a short while, we had grown apart a little bit. After arriving back from italy, i was told that she had taken this guy that liked her out on Valentine's day (i was in italy at the time). On this night, she had told him to basically leave her alone as she had her sights on somebody else in school.

Now, as we had grown apart, i figured i'd try out the "ganji game" technique, but it failed, and she just got annoyed at me for neglecting her. i still carried on with the "ganji games" and after a few more days, she was speaking with me where i was jokingly making fun of her and it seemed things were fine again.

She didn't give me an answer (yes or no) about going to the ball with me. I went to the ball, and had a great time, but she was now ignoring me completely!

The only thing i want to know, is that is it possible to still become friends with this girl again? as i was mean to her the night before the ball, due to anger with a number of things. (called her lazy, and took the piss)

Is it possible? and how should i go about doing it?

Thanks, Scorchin.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

An idea...

Just tell her that the mixed feelings between liking her and just being her friend drove you crazy and that you did not mean to hurt her, so you would like her to forgive and forget because she still means alot to you, blah di blah;) Tell her what she WANTS to hear.

because i feel bad for ripping it out of her, as when we first met, we hit it off, and were basically like best mates within a week of meeting.

blah di blah ;)

Let me expalin........

Scorchin: The "blah di blah" means that u must just tell her things like:

"U mean a lot to me"

"We have been through a lot and I value your friendship"

"This isn’t worth ending our almost perfect friendship"

"You mean a lot to me and I even think that I might have grown some feelings for you, but I am not sure if you would want to have a ROMANTIC relationship with me... would u?"

"Look... I am only human, I make mistakes, and I agree that I made a mistake by treating you the way I did, so what you say I take you out for dinner to make up? or at least try to;)"

"From when I met you I knew that there was something special about you, and I was right, because u are a special person to me, and I would really like to still have u in my life in the future"

You see what I am trying to say?

Well... good luck and I hope things work out for the 2 of you;)

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
