Well this scammer at least "gain" his wealth counting on his strenght instead of having a big bully (legal system) doing all the work for him.

Sounds like he may be guilty of theft, sounds like he took that girl's laptop and disappeared with it. But aside from that, yeah it does sound a lot like what women do regularly as a matter of course lol. Making false long term promises and asking for money - what would be the charge there, and if there is one, why aren't women prosecuted for this?

Yah he's guilty of theft. If he was a true con artist he would have had those women buy these things for him with the promise to pay them back and then claim they were gifts if it ever came to court (not that it would save him, but it would at least give him some plausible deniability)

Did you see those women? He knew his target market well.
