Hot and Cold. Hot and Cold. Wash rinse repeat...but they've got to be interested in you to begin with...and that's when you throw indifference their way.
It is a cat vs. mouse game.
Let me site another example. This one is via a couple who I regularly hang out with.
Meet Ryan. The guy is 24 years old, chubby, former college baseball player, has an entry level job. Not great looking by any means.
Meet Claire. The girl is a pharmacist. 25 years old. 5-6 looks wise. (She's always checking me out when I'm not looking at her, but that's another story).
Ryan has Claire totally wrapped around his finger.
He is not the life of the party and he's constantly aloof. He's not funny. He does not flirt. He's not built like a greek god. But he has control of her emotions. He is constantly telling her "NO" all the time and isn't phased when she gets dramatic. She is constantly complaining about him that he's selfish, a jerk, etc. But every time I see them together, she's holding on to his arm.
He knows nothing about game. I doubt he's read the DJ Bible.
I suspect he is unconsciously making her WORK to get some emotion out of him. But he never gives in and it makes her hamster spin. His aloofness drives her NUTS and she talks about him all the time. Ryan this, Ryan that. She's trying to paint a picture of this guy, but his mysteriousness doesn't allow her to. She's constantly try to get to know him and they've been together for a year!
I never thought I would learn from someone that much younger than me, but watching the dynamic between these two has been inspiring and gives me first hand VISUAL proof about how you should behave to keep your woman around.
She's trying to develop feelings when he has none! That is dynamic you hope for. When you get beta, AFC, or mushy, that hamster wheel stops spinning.
Ryan, the aloof baseball player, is living proof.
